The learning approach that is oriented towards action in the industry is the implementation of the revitalization of vocational school. The competency-oriented approach to the teaching factory enables the development of effective competencies in learning in the industry. The purpose of this study was to describe the implementation of costume made costume made competencies and industrial clothing in the Vocational School of Fashion Design program in East Java. This research is qualitative research. Data collection using interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study showed that costume made and industrial clothing competencies: (1) order acceptance was carried out by teachers and students, the price of orders was largely unknown to students. (2) analyze the order carried out by students consult with the teacher. (3) students' work readiness is marked by orderly starting and ending work according to schedule (4) students work on orders, do work on making patterns for simple patterns, for patterns that are difficult for teachers to make. Sewing and finishing clothes are done by students, the teacher as a consultant and assessing the results of work (5) Doing quality control is done by the teacher, students check (6) submit orders made by students and teachers.
The post-millennial generation or currently known as the Z generation, is the generation born in the 2000s, the future generation born in the Internet age. This post-millennial generation does not like rigid rules, tends to think creatively and openly and is very easy to comment on. An important point in dealing with the post-millennial generation by providing specific direction for understanding ethics in social life. In the learning process, post millennial generation has visual characteristics, tries and sees the results of the process, wants the teacher as a facilitator, learning starts with "how", and is very easy to get information / knowledge. This is a challenge in determining the right learning strategy for them. With the problem-based learning method it is expected that students / vocational high school (SMK) students will be able to create something different to produce rewards in the form of money as well as personal satisfaction and freedom. Students are required to understand the importance of maintaining health by maintaining and protecting food hygiene, through controlling environmental factors that can or can cause illness and health problems.
This study aimed at developing the discovery learning model with SETs approach for science learning. This research used research and development (R&D) design proposed by Borg and Gall's model that was modified into nine steps. The subjects of the try-out were the eighth-grade students in junior high school. The data analysis was done in two ways, qualitatively and quantitatively. The results showed that the discovery learning model with SETs approach developed has five syntaxes. The learning model could be implemented in science lesson with environmental material characteristics. Some research findings showed that the discovery learning model with sets approach had met the eligibility criteria model according to Nieveen criteria. Furthermore, it successfully improved the students' learning outcomes significantly. Meanwhile, the novelty of the developed model dealt with point that the content of the material used the KTSP curriculum but the learning process used the 2013 curriculum.
