Malang is one of the largest sugarcane plantations in Java in the colonial ruler. Several factors that support this success was soil fertility, supply of water, and infrastructure. Although this area has two kinds of topography namely lowland and hills but the colonial still able to manage these regions as one of the best sugarcane producers. The challenge is to be solved by developing the two different irrigation namely irrigation systems romeijn and syphon. These systems that supports Malang as one of the center of sugarcane in Java. In recent days, this infrastructure still can be witnessed, but unfortunately it is not many people are aware of the existence and function syphon that extends above the Metro river, Kepanjen. Therefore, this article try to discuss about the history of syphon metro Kepanjen and its function. Then, offer an outdoor learning scheme by using the site for the students Department of History. This was undertaken with the aim disseminate history of syphon to the community so that they have sense of belonging to preserve this site and took a very important lesson to the existence of the site.
Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk mengembangkan motif batik khas Desa Kidal untuk pemberdayaan masyarakat. Metode pengembangan yang dilakukan meliputi observasi, eksplorasi ide, perancangan dan perwujudan karya. Mitra yang terlibat dalam kegiatan ini adalah pemerintah Desa Kidal, PKK Desa Kidal, Karang Taruna Garudeya, dan Koperasi Wanita (Kopwan) Melati.. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah adanya lima motif batik khas Desa Kidal yaitu Garudeya, ayam, pelipit kakaktua, tumpal, dan lidah api. Motif tersebut diaplikasikan dalam bentuk canting cap batik. Adanya motif dan canting cap batik memberdayakan 28 perempuan Desa Kidal yang merupakan bagian dari kelompok mitra sehingga mereka bisa mengembangkan produksi batik yang bernilai ekonomi.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.17977/um032v1i12018p030
This research was conducted based on potential and problems. The problem found is that teachers still often use conventional teaching materials due to time constraints in making teaching materials, so that innovation in learning is needed according to the development of science and technology. This is supported by the potential that students are allowed to use smartphones in learning. Based on this background, the purpose of this research and development is to produce products and test the effectiveness of history teaching materials in the form of a code-based e-handout of Gebang Palace material for history learning at SMA Negeri 1 Blitar. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) by Sugiyono. The teaching materials developed are in the form of an android application e-handout for smartphones that contains a summary of the material to make it easier for students to gain knowledge. E-handout is a teaching material developed by combining handout teaching materials in electronic form. Based on the results of data analysis at the material expert validation stage, 90 percent (very valid). In the results of the validation of media experts, the results were 86.3 percent (very valid). In product trials in small groups, the results obtained are 85% (very effective). In the trial of the use of large groups, the results of 88.3 percent (very effective) were used in learning. Penelitian ini dilakukan berdasarkan potensi dan masalah. Masalah yang ditemukan yaitu guru masih sering menggunakan bahan ajar konvensional karena keterbatasan waktu dalam pembuatan bahan ajar, sehingga diperlukan inovasi dalam pembelajaran sesuai perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi. Hal tersebut didukung dengan potensi yaitu diperbolehkannya siswa menggunakan smartphone dalam pembelajaran. Berdasarkan latar belakang tersebut, tujuan penelitian dan pengembangan ini adalah untuk menghasilkan produk dan menguji keefektifan produk bahan ajar sejarah berupa e-handout berbasis kodular materi Istana Gebang untuk pembelajaran sejarah di SMA Negeri 1 Blitar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) oleh Sugiyono. Bahan ajar yang dikembangkan berupa e-handout aplikasi android untuk smartphone yang berisi ringkasan materi untuk memudahkan siswa memperoleh pengetahuan. E-handout merupakan bahan ajar yang dikembangkan dengan memadukan bahan ajar handout dalam bentuk elektronik. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data pada tahap validasi ahli materi adalah 90 persen (sangat valid). Pada hasil validasi ahli media memperoleh hasil sebesar 86,3 persen (sangat valid). Pada uji coba produk pada kelompok kecil diperoleh hasil sebesar 85 persen (sangat efektif). Pada uji coba pemakaian pada kelompok besar diperoleh hasil sebesar 88,3 persen (sangat efektif) digunakan dalam pembelajaran.
This study contains a study of the role of virtual reality in learning local history in history learning. The focus of this research is to develop a cultural heritage virtual reality learning media in Pasuruan. The research method used in this article is RAD (Rapid Application Development), including requirements planning (preparation), design and testing, and implementation (implementation stage). The results showed that using learning media on a virtual reality basis can present a real object of cultural heritage in Pasuruan. Learning local history using this virtual reality application provides a better understanding of cultural heritage in Pasuruan. Virtual reality pasuruan cultural heritage can make students and teachers do not have to come directly to the location and facilitate the learning process more contextual.
Writing this article aims to find out about the tradition of the Palang Pintu Mayarakat Betawi community in the context of Islamic culture. The method used is descriptive qualitative research. Many people in Indonesia already know about various traditions that are spread in various regions. One such tradition is the doorstop which comes from the Betawi tradition. The doorstop has become a mandatory tradition in Betawi community grooming events. The Betawi community is a society that upholds the value of diversity and equality of both local and foreign people without distinguishing the ethnicity and culture from which they come. Palang Pintu is a Betawi culture in one of the traditional wedding processions and over time it is used for weddings and welcoming guests. Islamic values contained in it make this tradition have elements of Islamic culture which until now is still a tradition for some Betawi people based on the description above, the author takes the formulas: 1) Explaining the Background of the Cross Door Tradition, 2) Explaining the Process of Implementing the Cross Tradition door, 3) explain the traditional values of the doorstop. Penulisan artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tentang tradisi Palang pintu Mayarakat Betawi dalam konteks budaya Islam.metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian Kualitatif deskriptif. Banyak orang di Indonesia sudah tahu tentang berbagai tradisi yang tersebar di berbagai wilayah. Salah satu tradisi tersebut adalah Palang pintu yang berasal dari adat Betawi. Palang pintu menjadi suatu tradisi yang wajib dalam acara mantenan masyarakat Betawi. Masyarakat Betawi adalah masyarakat yang dimana menjunjung tinggi nilai keberagaman dan kesamaan sesama etnis baik lokal maupun mancanegara tanpa membedakan suku dan budaya dari mana mereka berasal Palang Pintu adalah suatu kebudayaan khas Betawi dalam salah satu prosesi adat pernikahan dan pada seiringnya waktu digunakan untuk pernikahan dan penyambutan tamu. Nilai-nilai islami yang terkandung di dalamnya menjadikan tradisi tersebut memiliki unsur kebudayaan islam yang sampai saat ini masih menjadi tradisi bagi sebagian masyarakat betawi. Berdasarkan uraian diatas, penulis mengambil rumusan: 1) Menjelaskan Latar belakang Tradisi Palang Pintu, 2) Menjelaskan Proses Pelaksanaan Tradisi Palang pintu, 3) Menjelaskan Nilai-Nilai Tradisi Palang pintu.
