Los hongos endófitos viven asintomáticamente en las plantas, pero su papel biológico en las plantas de gulupa un frutal exótico no se tiene claro. Con esta investigación se evaluó la composición de la población de hongos endófitos en diferentes tejidos de plantas de gulupa procedentes de tres cultivos comerciales con manejo tradicional, ubicados en los municipios de Pasca y Granada-Cundinamarca y Sutamarchán-Boyacá. Asimismo, se evaluó el potencial de los hongos endófitos aislados como antagonistas de Fusarium sp., mediante métodos in-vitro (cultivo dual) e in-vivo (invernadero). En este estudio se encontró presencia de microorganismos endófitos en plantas de gulupa en los tejidos de Raíz (29,4%), tallo (24,4%), hoja (28,9%), semilla (0,5%), flores (9,6%) y frutos (7,1%), mediante desinfección con gas cloro, de los cuales la mayoría presentan micelio estéril (29,9%) seguidos de los hongos que pertenecen a los géneros Mucor (20,8%), Fusarium (20,3%), y Trichoderma (5,1%), así mismo se encontraron aislamientos pertenecientes a otros veinte géneros que representan 23,8%. También se evaluó la capacidad de estos hongos para producir ácido indol acético (AIA), se destacaron por una una producción superior a 10 µg/mL Fusarium sp. (10,77 µg/mL), F. equiseti (11,99 µg/mL), Trichoderma asperellum (12,43 µg/mL), y Diaporthe passiflorae (42,41 µg/mL) y se observó que varios endófitos son capaces de solubilizar el fósforo, entre ellos se destacó T. asperellum UNE098. Además, cuatro aislamientos T. gamsii, T. asperellum, Chaetomium globosum, y Mucor fragilis inhiben el crecimiento micelial de F. oxysporum en más de 50% in-vitro, y algunos de ellos producen compuestos orgánicos volátiles que inhiben el crecimiento de este patógeno en más de un 30% (T. asperellum UNE075 y UNE098). Con estos parámetros evaluados se seleccionaron nueve aislamientos para pruebas en condiciones de invernadero, se inocularon y se observó que las plantas infectadas por Curvularia penniseti presentaron un ligero incremento en acumulación de biomasa, peso fresco y tamaño, así como en el contenido de clorofilas. En conclusión, la gulupa presenta microorganismos endófitos cuya composición de la población varía entre los diferentes sitios evaluados. Nanostructure-based functions are omnipresent in nature and essential for the diversity of life. Unlike small molecules, which are often inhibitors of enzymes or biomimetics with established methods of elucidation, we show that functions of nanoscale structures in cells are complex and can implicate systemlevel effects such as the regulation of energy and redox homeostasis. Herein, we design a platinum(II)-containing tripeptide that assembles into intracellular fibrillar nanostructures upon molecular rearrangement in the presence of endogenous H 2 O 2 . The formed nanostructures blocked metabolic functions, including aerobic glycolysis and oxidative phosphorylation, thereby shutting down ATP production. As a consequence, ATP-dependent actin formation and glucose metabolite-dependent histone deacetylase activity are downregulated. We demonstrate that assembly-driven nanomaterials offer a rich avenue to achieve broad-spectrum bioactivities that could provide new opportunities in drug discovery.

Site‐selective protein functionalization serves as an invaluable tool for investigating protein structures and functions in complicated cellular environments and accomplishing semi‐synthetic protein conjugates such as traceable therapeutics with improved features. Dual functionalization of proteins allows the incorporation of two different types of functionalities at distinct location(s), which greatly expands the features of native proteins. The attachment and crosstalk of a fluorescence donor and an acceptor dye provides fundamental insights into the folding and structural changes of proteins upon ligand binding in their native cellular environments. Moreover, the combination of drug molecules with different modes of action, imaging agents or stabilizing polymers provides new avenues to design precision protein therapeutics in a reproducible and well‐characterizable fashion. This review aims to give a timely overview of the recent advancements and a future perspective of this relatively new research area. First, the chemical toolbox for dual functionalization of proteins is discussed and compared. The strengths and limitations of each strategy are summarized in order to enable readers to select the most appropriate method for their envisaged applications. Thereafter, representative applications of these dual‐modified protein bioconjugates benefiting from the synergistic/additive properties of the two synthetic moieties are highlighted.
