Cyclic voltammetry, chronoamperometry and FTIR-ATR techniques were used to investigate the phenol electropolymerization on carbon steel and stainless steel electrodes in carbonate aqueous medium. Phenol electropolymerization occurs on a passivated surface and the polymer grows to thickness of 0.1 to 0.2 µ m. Polymeric films are adherent and stables under ambient conditions. The polymeric film maintains aromatic character and contains etherlinked rings.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
