Resumen. Los enterramientos humanos en el Porce Medio, nordeste del departamento de Antioquia (Colombia), en el periodo denominado desarrollos regionales, son expresiones de la manera como los grupos humanos concebían la muerte. Asimismo, el ritual funerario que incluye la construccióny localización de la tumba en el paisaje es una expresión cultural que legitima la territorialidad de los grupos locales, basada en el hecho de que allí mismo habitan los antepasados.Abstract. Human burials in “El Porce Medio”, in the period called “regional developments” are expressions of the way human groups used to conceive death, but especially, the funeral ritual that includes the construction and location of the tomb in the landscape, it is a cultural expression that legitimizes the territoriality of the local groups, based on an ancient legacy, because in such territory is where their ancestors inhabit.
Resumen. En este artículo presentamos los resultados generales de una intervención arqueológica desarrollada en la cuenca alta de la quebrada Piedras Blancas (Antioquia, Colombia). La información que generamos indica que el contexto corresponde a un espacio de vivienda construido a principios del siglo XVII, vinculado con la minería de aluvión asociada a las elites de la ciudad de Santa Fe de Antioquia. En un segundo momento, hacia la segunda mitad del siglo XIX, el contexto fue reocupado por pequeños mineros vinculados con la explotación de los yacimientos auríferos de veta. El análisis de los espacios domésticos y de producción, de la cultura material asociada y de la información proporcionada por las fuentes documentales, nos permite avanzar en la interpretación sobre los significados asociados a las estructuras arquitectónicas y los objetos, y consecuentemente acercarnos a los contextos y actuaciones sociales de sus moradores.Abstract. In this article we bring up the general conclusions of an archaeological research developed in the high basin of the Piedras Blancas creek (Antioquia, Colombia). The information generated, indicates that this archaeological context represents, in the beginning, a household area in the first part of the XVII century, related with the gold mining of fluvial sediments by the elite of the Santa Fe de Antioquia city. In the second part of the XIX century, this context is reoccupied by minor miners related with the exploitation of gold vein deposits. The analysis of the household and production spaces, the study of thematerial culture and the historical information, give us the possibility to advance over the interpretation of the meanings associated with the architectural structures and objects, and let us to be closer of the social context and behavior of their residents.
Resumen. Se presentan los resultados de los estudios paleoambientales realizados en la cuenca media del río Porce (Antioquia, Colombia), los cuales arrojaron importantes datos sobre la historia de las coberturas vegetales de esos lugares y de las áreas circunvecinas asociadas a herramientas en piedrapara talar árboles y procesar elementos vegetales, constituyen evidencias de la “antropización” del bosque subandino a partir de una dinámica de apertura y mantenimiento de claros y del aprovechamiento de espacios abiertos, formados en condiciones sucesionales naturales.Abstract. The article presents the results of paleo-environmental studies realized in the middle bsin of the Porce River (Antioquia, Colombia) which represent important data about the history of the vegetation of these sites and the surrounding areas associated with stone tools to down trees and process vegetable elements, and which constitute evidence of the human modification of the subAndean forestfrom a dynamic of opening and maintenance of clearings, and the taking advantage of open spaces, formed in natural series conditions.
