Human resources with good characters are badly needed in a national development. Hence, developing characters, especially the development of characters based on local wisdom is highly needed. This study was part of a study of local culture-based Physics model of teaching at senior high school, i.e., the need analysis and conceptual model prototype stage. The subjects were 20 physics teachers who had at least 10 years of teaching physics experience at public and private senior high schools in Singaraja, Bali. The study used questionnaire, observation guide, and interview as the instruments for collecting the data. The data were analyzed by a descriptivequalitative analysis. The result showed that (1) Nine Balinese local wisdom-based characters could be developed in physics teaching; (2) The method that is appropriate for the local wisdom-based development of characters is inquiry from various perspectives, discussion, and demonstration; (3) The core procedure of teaching that can develop the students' character are exploration, focusing attention, inquiry from various perspectives (scientific, sociocultural, historical), elaboration, and confirmation.
Perdebatan mengenai hakekat gravitasi masih banyak dibahas oleh para fisikawan hingga saat ini. Apakah gravitasi merupakan suatu medan gaya yang eksis dalam ruangwaktu atau suatu manifestasi geometri ruangwaktu. Di satu pihak, gravitasi dipandang sebagai suatu medan gaya yang dihasilkan oleh distribusi materi dan energi dalam ruang sebagai sumber medan tersebut. Di pihak lain, gravitasi dipandang sebagai manifestasi geometri ruangwaktu yang dibentuk oleh distribusi materi dan energi, dan sebaliknya, distribusi materi dan energi di dalam ruangwaktu dipengaruhi oleh geometri ruangwaktu itu. Salah dua dari banyak teori gravitasi yang ada, yakni: gravitasi Einstein dan gravitasi teleparallel. Dalam teori gravitasi Einstein, gravitasi dan inersia digabungkan menjadi satu entitas tunggal yang secara geometrik diidentifikasi dengan koneksi Levi-Civita. Sedangkan, dalam gravitasi teleparallel, gravitasi dan inersia terpisah dengan dua entitas yang berbeda dengan makna yang berbeda. Gravitasi dipandang sebagai medan gaya (interaksi) pada ruangwaktu, sedangkan inersia dipandang sebagai geometri ruangwaktu.
Daya simpan VCO produk KWT Tunas Amerta sekitar 6-7 bulan.Produksi VCO dilakukan dalam jumlah masih terbatas dan bersifat tidak kontinu. Kesulitan melakukan uji kadar air berdasarkan standar mutu yang ditetapkan Standar Nasional Indonesia (SNI) membuat kontrol kualitas tidak dapat dilakukan secara berkala. Solusi permasalahan ini dituangkan dalam bentuk pendampingan uji kadar air kualitas VCO berdasarkan SNI. Tujuan pendampingan ini adalah membekali peserta pengabdian melakukan uji kadar air sesuai standar mutu VCO berdasarkan SNI :7381-2008. Kegiatan P2M diikuti oleh 5anggota KWT VCO Tunas AmertaDesa Panji Anom. Evaluasi kegiatan menitikberatkan pada proses pengujian kadar air sesuai prosedur. Keberhasilan menentukan nilai kadar air VCO digunakan sebagai kriteria ketercapaian kegiatan pengabdian ini. Hasil pelaksanaan pendampingan uji kadar air kualitas VCO menunjukkan bahwa peserta berhasil menentukan nilai kadar air dalam VCO yang diproduksi. Hasil uji kadar air dalam VCO Lengis Dhee mencapai 0,09 %. Nilai ini lebih kecil dari nilai yang dipersyaratkan dalam standar mutu VCO, yaitu maksimum 0,2%.
Gerak screw adalah gerak dasar sebuah robot yang dapat dianalisis dengan menerapkan konsep gerak benda tegar. Gerak benda tegar terdiri dari gerak rotasi terhadap suatu garis lurus dan diikuti dengan gerak translasi pada garis lurus tersebut. Dalam penelitian ini dikaji kembali mengenai konsep dasar dari gerak robot dengan menggunakan koordinat eksponensial (koordinat twist), serta persamaan kecepatan gerak robot sebagai fungsi waktu dengan menggunakan analisis aljabar. Gerak robot dengan model ball joints digambarkan oleh dua persamaan kecepatan koordinat spatial dan body, yakni: dan yang menggambarkan kecepatan sistem sebagai fungsi sudut rotasi terhadap sumbu-x (j), sumbu-y (b) dan sumbu-z (α) yang merupakan fungsi dari q.
Teleparallel gravity has been formulated in the symplectic-geometrical fashion. For that purpose, the symplectic potential and the pre-symplectic structure on the manifold of all solutions of the field equation of teleparallel gravity have been firstly constructed from the Lagrangian density of the theory. That the obtained pre-symplectic structure is a symplectic structure also has been proved. It has been shown that the symplectic potential obtained from the Lagrangian density up to a factor is equal to the superpotential of teleparallel gravity. The Hamiltonian formulation of teleparallel gravity has been derived. Furthermore, the Poisson bracket between arbitrary two classical observables (i.e. real-valued functional) defined on the symplectic manifold of all solutions of the field equation of teleparallel gravity has constructed. The Hamiltonian vector field associated to an observable has been obtained. The formulation of Noether theorem in the symplectic formulation of teleparallel gravity has been investigated.
One of the characteristics of viruses is the stiffness of the virus shell. In the following review, the virus shell can be assumed to be a spring. The value of stiffness of the virus shell is different for various viruses depending on intrinsic properties (i.e. modulus of elasticity) and extrinsic properties (i.e. radius and thickness of the virus shell). In this paper, we analyze the value of stiffness of the virus shell by analytical dan simulation. The analytical method is based on plate and shell theory and Michell solution. The other, the simulation is based on finite element analysis (FEA) method. We examine the elasticity constants of two types of viruses, namely HIV-1 (mature) and HIV-1 (immature) viruses. It was found that the HIV-1 virus (mature) had a smaller elasticity constant than the elasticity constant of the HIV-1 virus (immature). This is closely related to the characteristics of the virus, i.e. size, thickness, and intrinsic properties of the virus. Viruses with smaller shell thickness have lower elasticity constants, so they are more efficient at infecting host cells than viruses with higher elasticity constants.
