This study aims to develop a learning media E-Booklet for reproductive system materials to improve students' cognitive learning outcomes in biology subjects for the human reproductive system. This research was conducted from December 2020 to June 2021. The trial in this study consisted of one class using the model one group pretest- posttest design. The results of the validation related to the feasibility of the media E-Booklet obtained a score of 91% in the Very Valid category. The results of the pretest and posttest scores of class XI IPA-1 students in improving students' cognitive learning outcomes. This is indicated by the average value of the pretest before using the learning media, which is 33. While the average posttest after using the learning media is 87 with a Biology minimum completeness criteria value of 72. The N-Gain value has an average of 0.81 or in N Gain% is 81% indicating high category. This shows that the learning media E-Booklet material for the human reproductive system can improve students' cognitive learning outcomes.
This study aims to development of media mobile learning based on android for learning the biology of nervous system material and to determine the effectiveness of media mobile learning based on android in improving students' conceptual understanding. The type of research used was development (R&D), population, and sample, namely class XI IPA 2 as many as 30 students at one of the public high schools in Bogor Regency which was carried out from January to May 2020. This development research procedure used a model (4D) consisting of 4 stages, namely Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. The instruments used were tests (pre- test and post-test), response questionnaire sheets, and documentation. The implementation of deployment trials was carried out using a one group pre-test and post-test research design. The results showed that the media mobile learning got a very feasible category. This is based on the average percentage of the assessment from the expert validation team, namely 82.75%. Media mobile learning Android-based on learning the biology of the nervous system material can improve students' understanding of concepts and almost all students respond positively. This is proven by an increase in the results of the pre-test and post-test values after using the application so that the N-gain value obtained is 66.5.
This research is Research and Development (R&D) model used in the ADDIE model which was done on March until July 2019. The purpose of the study was to develop encyclopedia of macrozoobenthic invertebrates to improve student’s learning outcome. The research was conducted at a High School in Bogor, for the tenth grade students of MIPA 1 as the experimental class with the total number of 37 students and used one group pretest-posttest design. The instruments used in this study consist of expert validation sheets, multiple choice questions and questionnaire sheets to collect student responses about encyclopedia of learning module. Validation data shows that the feasibility test on the content of the material, language and presentations obtain values above 81% included the validity and appropriateness category for learning. The result of the questionnaire shows that a positive response was obtained with values above 82%. The average result obtained at pretest was 43,23 while the average result obtained at posttest was 79,90. The result of the N-Gain analysis shows a medium criterion of 0,6. In conclusion, the encyclopedia of macrozoobenthic invertebrates can improve student learning outcome.
Environmental disaster was important issue to be solved. Current situation disasters such as flood, earthquake, tsunami, volcanoes and others could be happened. This study aimed to obtain information about the relationship between knowledge of disaster and preparedness behaviors and disaster preparedness behaviors. This research was a Sequential Explanatory combination research consisting of 2 variables, namely knowledge about disaster mitigation as an independent variable (X) and disaster preparedness behaviors as a dependent variable (Y). This research was conducted in January-June 2019. The population in this study was all students of Grade XI MIPA in MAN in Bogor City in the academic year 2018/2019 with a total sample of 207 respondents. Research data were obtained using multiple choice test and observation sheet. Quantitative data analysis with descriptive statistical calculations, prerequisite tests using the Liliefors test and the Bartlett test. The data hypotheses testing used the Pearson Product Moment formula. Analysis of qualitative data carried out by reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that there was a positive relationship between knowledge of disaster mitigation and disaster preparedness behaviors (t-value 3.56 > t-statistic 0.05, r=0.234 & r2=5.51%) with a low interpretation value. The conclusion of this research there were low relationship between knowledge of disaster and preparedness behaviors.
A good learning strategy, should have to reduce the psychological burden of students when the learning process. The purpose of the study is to get an idea of the magnitude of the cognitive load of students in aproject based learningon the subject of learning audio-visual media. The method used in this research is quantitative descriptive. These research subjects are students of the fifth semester Biology Education Studies Program Pakuan University academic year 2016/2017 as many as 50 people. Student cognitive load was measured on three components, namely the mental effort students to describeextraneous cognitiveload(ECL), the ability to receive and process information to describeinstrisic cognitive load(ICL), and the learning outcomes to describegermane cognitive load(GCL). Measurement of ability to receive and process information usingtask complexity worksheet(Brunkenet al.,2010). Measurements mental effort using a questionnaireof subjectiveratting scale(Likert scale).Measurement of learning outcomes in the form essay, referring to the standard of reasoning developed by Marzanoet al(1993).The results showed that the ability to receive and process information very high which means that ICL is in the range of working memory, mental effort which means low student ECL is also low, and a fairly high learning outcomes and describe the magnitude of GCL. The results of the correlation calculations between the three components of cognitive load showed a negative correlation between the ICL with ECL (r =-0.017), the positive correlation between the ICL with GCL (r =0,252), while ECL with GCL has a value of a positive correlation (r = 0.135) , These results illustrate that the GCL obtained by students at least caused by ICL. It can be concluded that the student is still at a high cognitive load while attending classproject based learning. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian itu sendiri yaitu untuk mendapatkan gambaran besarnya beban kognitif mahasiwa dalam sebuah pembelajaran project based learning pada matakuliah media pembelajaran audio visual. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu mahasiswa semester V Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi Universitas Pakuan tahun ajaran 2016/2017 sebanyak 50 orang. Beban kognitif mahasiswa diukur pada tiga komponen, yaitu usaha mental siswa untuk menggambarkan extraneous cognitive load (ECL), kemampuan menerima dan mengolah informasi untuk menggambarkan instrisic cognitive load (ICL), dan hasil belajar untuk menggambarkan germane cognitive load (GCL). Mengukur kemampuan menerima dan mengolah informasi menggunakan task complexity worksheet (Brunken et al., 2010). Pengukuran usaha mental menggunakan angket subjective ratting scale (skala Likert). Pengukuran hasil belajar berupa soal essay, mengacu pada standar penalaran yang dikembangkan oleh Marzano et al (1993). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan menerima dan mengolah informasi sangat tinggi yang berarti ICL berada pada rentang memori kerja, usaha mental siswa rendah yang berarti ECL juga rendah, dan hasil belajar cukup tinggi dan menggambarkan besarnya GCL. Hasil perhitungan korelasi antar ketiga komponen beban kognitif menunjukkan, korelasi negatif antara ICL dengan ECL (r=-0,017), korelasi positif antara ICL dengan GCL (r=0,252), sedangkan ECL dengan GCL mempunyai nilai korelasi positif (r=0,135). Hasil ini menggambarkan bahwa GCL yang diperoleh oleh siswa sedikitnya diakibatkan oleh ICL. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa mahasiswa masih berada pada beban kognitif yang tinggi saat mengikuti pembelajaran berbasis proyekKata kunci: cognitive load, project based learning, audio visual media
