In der ersten Arbeit 1 ) hatten wir festgestellt, daß die katalatisclie und peroxydatische Wirksamkeit von Blutfarbstoffderivaten schon durch verhältnismäßig geringfügige Änderungen im Gesamtmolekül stark beeinflußt wird. Zur Charakterisierung des in einer späteren Arbeit 2 ) aufgefundenen Dihydrohämins erwies sich bereits die Katalasewirkang von großer Bedeutung, da weder die Elementaranalyse, noch die spektroskopische und krystallographische Untersuchung die Verschiedenheit von Hämin erkennen ließ. Wir wollen daraus nicht etwa den Schluß ziehen, daß die Untersuchung der katalytischen Eigenschaften in jedem Fall die beste Methode zur Charakterisierung eisenhaltiger Blutfarbstoffderivate ist; da aber die üblichen Charakterisierungsmethoden der Blutfarbstoffchemie in manchen Fällen versagen, so glauben wir, daß unsere Methode zur Ergänzung der bisherigen von Wert sein wird.
Die meisten Chemiker und Ingenieure, die mit Patenten zu tun haben, wissen, daD beziiglich der Anspruchsformulierung erhebliche Unterschiede zwischen den einzelnen Landern bestehen. Dagegen ist die Auffassung weit verbreitet, daD die Beschreibung in allen Landern iibereinstimmend abgefaDt werden konnte, da es ja nur auf die Offenbarung der Erfindung ankame. Tatsachlich weichen aber die Auffassungen dariiber, was in den verschiedenen Landern als zureichende Offenbarung anzusehen ist, stark voneinander ab.In D e u t s c h 1 a n d geniigt es haufig, wenn die Beschreibung gewisse prinzipielle Darlegungen iiber die zu losende Aufgabe und die Maanahmen zu ihrer Losung enthalt. Detaillierte Angaben iiber die praktischen Ausfiihrungsformen der Erfindung werden als unnotig erachtet, wenn sich argumentieren laat, daD die Verwirklichung der Erfindung an Hand der prinzipiellen Angaben im Rahmen des fachmannischen Konnens liegt.
