This work deals with the possibility of increasing the utility properties of the functional part of the weapon by deposition of PVD coating. These coatings are widely known for their high hardness and abrasion resistance without affecting the anti-corrosion properties. The experimental part evaluates the created duplex coating on the piston of the assault rifle Sa vz. 58. Duplex coating adhesion, surface morphology, and coating thickness was evaluated on opto digital microscope Olympus DSX 500. The impact resistance of the coating was evaluated by dynamic impact test. The durability tests of the coatings were carried out during the training of students in the military training. The results showed the application of PVD coating significantly reduced piston head wear and increased user comfort in the form of shortening time of the cleaning and maintenance process after firing.
This article analyses possibilities for securing cargo on selected military truck -middle cargo terrain Tatra T-810 DO AŠ. It presents a model of cargo securing using lashing straps, which is based on the minimum and maximum angle possible between lashing strap and horizontal plane where mounted. It compares inertial forces in the x-axis and y-axis, where the data source is in one case the basal variant of measured values of acceleration coefficients and in the second case normatively set values of acceleration coefficients. Both outputs -the size of the inertial forces in both axes are compared and a set of recommendations for cargo securing is formulated.
This article deals with the issue of combat unmanned ground vehicles (UGV). The authors describe and analyse the current state of the issue. In the light of technological progress, the ambitions of selected states, and future trends, the authors define the needs for successfully implementing combat unmanned vehicles into the line-ups of combat divisions and units. They examine not only the field of application, but also the issue of education and training from a long-term perspective. The article hopes to support professional-scientific discussion on this topic and create the theoretical potential for starting the process of preparing and implementing combat UGV.
The article deals with mentorship in operations. It describes general rules and conditions for effective mentorship and highlight specifics of military mentorship. The core of article compares and synthetizes rules and experiences from nowadays operations. The authors focused their point of view on andragogical, methodical and operational aspects and training development of course. There is solved tactical level of operations only.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
