Langerhans cells provide important insight into the immunopathogenesis of chronic periapical lesions.
The aim of this study was to investigate the histopathological features of radicular cysts (RCs) diagnosed in a Brazilian population. Seventy-three cases of RCs, from a total of 1480 biopsies diagnosed between 2001 and 2008 at the Laboratory of Oral Surgical Pathology of the Dental School of the Federal University of Bahia were investigated regarding their histopathological features. Morphological results showed that exocytosis (n=50), spongiosis (n=40), acanthosis (n=28), atrophic epithelium (n=27) and apoptotic bodies (n=21) were the most common findings. Other morphological findings included: foamy macrophages (n=10), Russell's bodies (n=7), cholesterol crystals (n=7) and glandular-like odontogenic epithelial rests (n=1). Evidence of exogenous material was seen in 16 samples. It was concluded that the clinical and histopathological findings observed in Brazilian patients were comparable with those described for other populations.
ABSTRACT: This article presents an introduction to the social thought of the French Jewish philosopherSimone Weil, with the axis of the joint work and education in the light of rooting category. Wandering heart and soul with the workers, miners and peasants, Simone Weil offers the contemporary world one of the most consistent reflective contributions in favor of overcoming social oppression imposed on production workers, whose "Meat work" is for her assumed to hermeneutic locus of a radical replacement of the question of the meaning of human. Against the historical social division of labor that promotes the degradation of manual labor, Simone shows that a civilization does not reach human status to those who contribute with their hands in building it does not lead, in law and in fact, a human life . In light of that civilization transgression, it was to ensure that workers from production the "feed" to the satisfaction of their basic human needs, but also their integration in the life of the spirit, is the appropriation of culture "classic" and universal to them is withheld, is the culture of affirmation -unique and invaluable -rooted in your life experience. In short, subversive wit the thought of Simone Weil is to show that social oppression not only usurps the dignity of workers and peasants, as impoverished civilization itself, to deprive it of a spirituality that can only be born of body and soul workers.
