Neste artigo nos propomos a socializar o processo de produção do currículo para a rede municipal de ensino de Cascavel que considerou os princípios da coletividade, os pressupostos da Pedagogia Histórico-Crítica (PHC) e a importância da luta dos educadores comprometidos com a escola pública e uma educação emancipadora. O mesmo é resultado da pesquisa realizada durante o mestrado em educação da Unioeste. A importância da mesma deve-se ao fato desse currículo estar fundamentado na Pedagogia Histórico-Crítica que é uma teoria pedagógica que possibilita aos indivíduos, por meio de um ensino intencional, deliberado e sistematizado se apropriarem da cultura humana historicamente acumulada. Para isso primeiramente buscamos contextualizar a Pedagogia Histórico-Crítica na educação pública do Estado do Paraná, e em seguida, nos ocupamos das questões específicas sobre a produção e implementação do Currículo para Rede Pública Municipal de Ensino de Cascavel.
Esta resenha apresenta o livro “Pedagogia Histórico-Crítica, quadragésimo ano: novas aproximações”, de Dermeval Saviani, editado pela Autores Associados, no ano de 2019.
O livro em tela aborda e trata os diferentes aspectos e problemas do sistema educacional brasileiro, com possibilidades de mudanças e transformação da educação, bem como, divulga uma teoria pedagógica na perspectiva histórico-crítica. Trata o autor sobre a produção da ciência e do conhecimento, bem como analisa os desafios da educação em impulsionar transformações sociais. Com base na pedagogia histórico-crítica discute questões sobre a concepção de mundo, homem e sociedade, realiza a defesa da escola pública, e conclui apontando estratégias de como avançar mesmo ante os desafios teórico e políticos do presente.
