Efficient molybdenum(VI) modified Zr-MOF catalysts have been successfully prepared for the epoxidation of olefins. The stable and porous Zr-MOF (UiO-66(NH 2 )) was modified with salicylaldehyde, pyridine-2aldehyde, or 2-pyridine chloride by the post-synthesis modification (PSM) method, and then the Mobased catalyst was loaded by a chelating method. The MOFs not only act as the carriers of the Mo(VI) catalyst, but also improve the contacting ability between the substrate and the active center of the Mo(VI) compound. The high dispersion of the Mo catalyst on Zr-MOF and the big pore size of MOF guarantee sufficient contact between substrate and catalytic active center, thus accelerating the rate of reaction and providing improved catalytic efficiency for the epoxidation of olefins. The obtained Zr-MOF catalyst exhibited high activity for the epoxidation of olefins with 70 wt% tert-butyl hydroperoxide (TBHP) or 30% H 2 O 2 as the oxygen sources. Furthermore, MoO 2 (acac) 2 loaded Zr-MOF was prepared in the same way, and it also showed good catalytic performance for the epoxidation of olefins.

Abstract. To identify the specific serum preeclampsia (PE)-related biomarkers, 10 microRNAs (miRNAs) were selected based on their reported aberrant (4 upregulated and 6 downregulated) expression in PE placenta. A total of 1,035 pregnant patients were enrolled. Finally, 32 pregnancies with PE and 32 healthy pregnancies were incorporated in the study. The expression of these 10 miRNAs in the different trimesters was determined by SYBR-Green reverse transcription-quantitative polymerase chain reaction. Compared with that in the healthy controls, the expression levels of miR-152, miR-183 and miR-210 in PE serum were higher in the second and third trimester, whereas the expression of miR-182 was only higher in the third trimester. The expression levels of 6 miRNAs (miR-1, miR-328, miR-363, miR-377, miR-500 and miR-584) that were downregulated in PE placenta showed no significant differences between pregnancies complicated by PE and healthy pregnancies throughout the 3 trimesters. Areas under the receiver operating characteristic [standard error (SE)] during the 20-24th gestational week for predicting PE were 0.026), 0.031) and miR-210: 0.93 (SE, 0.018). In conclusion, the expression levels of serum miR-152, miR-183 and miR-210 were elevated since the second trimester in pregnancies complicated with PE, indicating their potentials as serum biomarkers for forecasting PE.

We aim to investigate the effects of adipose-derived stem cells (ASCs) transplantation on irradiation-induced skeletal muscle fibrosis. Sixty-four rabbits were randomly divided into ASCs group and PBS group followed by irradiation at unilateral hip with a single dose of 80 Gy. Nonirradiated side with normal skeletal muscle served as normal control. Skeletal muscle tissues were collected from eight rabbits in each group at 1 w, 4 w, 8 w, and 26 w after irradiation. Migration of ASCs was observed in the peripheral tissues along the needle passage in the injured muscle. The proportion of the area of collagen fibers to the total area in sections of ASCs group was lower than those of PBS groups at 4 w, 8 w, and 26 w after irradiation. Significant decrease was noted in the integrated optimal density of the transforming growth factor β1 (TGF-β1) in the ASCs group compared with those of PBS group at 4 w, 8 w, and 26 w after irradiation. Moreover, the expression of TGF-β1 was lower in the ASCs group compared to those of the PBS group at each time point determined by Western blot analysis. ASCs transplantation could alleviate irradiation fibrosis by suppressing the level of TGF-β1 in the irradiated skeletal muscle.
