La pandemia generada por la COVID-19 ha llevado a la transformación y adaptación de las diferentes actividades en las que las sociedades se desarrollan. En la organización familiar se han desarrollado estrategias para realizar las actividades del trabajo remunerado y no remunerado; sin embargo, históricamente las tareas del trabajo no remunerado han recaído sobre las mujeres, teniendo consecuencias en su salud. La presente investigación tiene como objetivo diferenciar la percepción entre hombres y mujeres de las sobrecargas por realizar el trabajo desde casa y apoyar en las actividades escolares de la infancia. El estudio es de tipo cuantitativo, transversal y correlacional. Se contó con la participación de 110 personas (85% mujeres y 15% hombres) que respondieron las encuestas: Escala de Sobrecarga de Trabajo desde Casa derivado del COVID-19 y la Escala Sobrecarga de Trabajo y Apoyo Escolar durante el confinamiento por COVID-19. Se encontró mayor percepción de sobrecarga de trabajo en las mujeres por realizar labores remuneradas, trabajo doméstico y apoyo en las actividades escolares. Se encontraron diferencias significativas donde las mujeres exteriorizan malestares físicos, desgaste emocional, saturación e irritabilidad por desempeñar la multiplicidad de tareas durante el confinamiento derivado de la COVID-19.
El objetivo de este trabajo fue describir estrategias de apoyo al aprendizaje escolar durante la pandemia por COVID-19 en 12 familias monoparentales de jefatura femenina con hijos de Educación Primaria en dos contextos socioeducativos diferentes de Cuernavaca, Morelos. Se trabajó con una metodología mixta, con el empleo de un cuestionario de estrategias de apoyo familiar y de entrevistas semiestructuradas. Los resultados muestran un despliegue diferente de estrategias familiares de apoyo al aprendizaje escolar en las familias del contexto escolar público y privado, corroboran la influencia del capital socioeconómico y cultural en el desarrollo de la función educativa familiar, contribuyen a la comprensión de su configuración en la monoparentalidad femenina y del impacto de la contingencia sanitaria por COVID-19.
