Objetivo: refletir sobre o impacto da pandemia ocasionada pelo novo coronavírus na atuação de trabalhadores informais de aplicativos no Brasil. Método: estudo teórico reflexivo desenvolvido entre os meses de março e abril de 2020, que incluiu prestadores de serviços das empresas Uber, 99 e iFood, por meio de três depoimentos consultados em matérias online dos jornais The Intercept e Correio do Povo, além levantamento de dados na plataforma Google Trends. Resultados: observou-se a carência de garantias sociais aos trabalhadores de aplicativos, embora tenha havido crescente busca por serviços de alimentação e transporte das três empresas, devido ao isolamento social da população. Conclusões: a pandemia impacta em diversos âmbitos da sociedade, com valores mais custosos para os que não possuem contrato formal de trabalho, levando a dificuldades de renda e a negação de garantia de auxílio de saúde.
Em sistemas de distribuição, informações precisas sobre a localização de faltas são necessárias para a restauração rápida do serviço frente à interrupção da energia elétrica, causada por uma falta permanente. Consequentemente, tal localização também é importante para evitar grandes prejuízos nos indicadores de qualidade de energia. Assim, neste trabalho é proposta uma metodologia para a localização de faltas em sistemas de distribuição através da meta-heurística Otimização por Nuvem de Partículas. Para isso, são utilizadas as informações dos canais de medidores instalados na rede elétrica. Foram considerados diferentes tipos de curtos-circuitos: monofásico (fase-terra), bifásico (fase-fase e fase-fase-terra) e trifásico com diferentes valores de impedância de falta. Para validar a metodologia, foram utilizadas redes de 33 e 202 barras. Os resultados mostraram a eficiência do método para localizar os locais de falta, em diferentes casos abordados, com elevada precisão e baixo tempo de processamento.
Este trabalho tem como objetivo reduzir a incerteza nos valores de perdas elétricas calculadas através do fluxo de potência probabilístico em um sistema de distribuição, por meio da alocação de medidores de corrente. Dado que este problema é do tipo combinatório apresentando uma explosão do número de soluções, utilizou-se a meta-heurística Busca em Vizinhança Variável (VNS) para alocar tais medidores de forma eficiente. Uma vez que os medidores são simulados na rede elétrica, uma sub-rotina é implementada para impedir que os erros associados à incerteza das demandas das cargas sejam propagados na estimação das perdas elétricas. A análise é realizada em um horizonte de 24 horas e os testes são aplicados a uma rede radial de 33 barras para demonstrar a precisão proporcionada pela metodologia.
Este artigo analisa os mecanismos implementados para reparar as vítimas de violações aos direitos humanos do apartheid na África do Sul e do genocídio ocorrido em Ruanda. Apesar de possuírem diferenças que os particularizam, ambos os países possuem em comum a existência de períodos marcados por altos índices de violência política praticada contra parcelas expressivas de sua população. Outra característica compartilhada pelos países é o impacto que a colonização teve no estabelecimento de valores e estruturas racistas, responsáveis pela segregação e/ou pelo tensionamento das relações entre diferentes grupos étnicos. O artigo realiza um panorama sobre os conflitos e as violações ocorridas em cada um dos países mencionados. Na sequência, traça um panorama das medidas que foram implementadas com vistas à reconciliação nacional, ganhando destaque neste processo o trabalho das Comissões da Verdade. Na terceira parte da exposição, finalmente, compara-se as medidas.
Este trabalho apresenta a implementação das meta-heuristicas, Greedy Randomized Adaptive Search Procedure (GRASP) e Variable Neighborhood Search (VNS) para a alocação ótima de Geradores Distribuídos (GDs) e seu dimensionamento em redes de distribuição com operação radial, visando a redução das perdas elétricas ativas e, simultaneamente, à melhoria dos níveis de tensão. Nesta metodologia, o algoritmo GRASP é utilizado para a construção de possíveis soluções do problema, enquanto o VNS se aplica à uma etapa de busca local, na qual realiza-se um refinamento no espaço de soluções para aprimorar a convergência do processo de busca. Para validação da técnica, a metodologia foi aplicada em duas redes, uma de 33 barras do IEEE e outra de 135 barras. Dos resultados obtidos, pôde-se verificar a eficácia da metodologia em encontrar soluções de boa qualidade com perdas mínimas e consideráveis melhorias nos perfis de tensão.
