Objetivo: Analisar os efeitos da cirurgia bariátrica na remissão diabética. Revisão Bibliográfica: A cirurgia bariátrica tem como fim a perda de peso corpóreo gerado pela obesidade, por isso ela se relaciona com a melhora da síndrome metabólica. Sendo assim, quando tal procedimento tem o objetivo de atenuar os sintomas de tal patologia, é nomeado cirurgia metabólica, afinal, esse é capaz de ocasionar a remissão da diabetes tipo 2, a qual é uma doença crônica metabólica caracterizada pela resistência periférica à insulina. Ademais, a principal técnica utilizada é a derivação gastrojejunal em Y-de-Roux, por ter menores índices de mortalidade e por gerar resultados mais satisfatórios em comparação aos tratamentos medicamentosos. Outrossim, a diminuição dos triglicerídeos e do LDL causam benefícios evidentes, como a diminuição de riscos cardiovasculares, além da melhora dos parâmetros cardiometabólicos, por exemplo da pressão arterial e da cintura abdominal. Por outro lado, ocorre uma deficiência na absorção de ferro, vitaminas e minerais após a cirurgia. Considerações finais: Esse procedimento cirúrgico é uma alternativa significativamente benéfica tanto na remissão diabética quanto na melhoria da autoestima e da qualidade de vida.
Objetivo: Analisar a eficácia da radiofrequência como alternativa para o tratamento de disfunções sexuais. Revisão Bibliográfica: A disfunção sexual feminina (DSF) compromete a vida sexual e a qualidade de vida das pacientes, de modo a limitar e restringir suas atividades. Nesse contexto, o tratamento desta disfunção é muito amplo, com opções farmacológicas ou não e procedimentos invasivos ou não. A radiofrequência é um método não invasivo de emissão de ondas eletromagnéticas de alta frequência. Essa técnica estimula a neocolagênese e a neoelastogênese da mucosa vaginal, e, dessa forma, auxilia na cicatrização de feridas, promove maior elasticidade, integridade epitelial e umidade. A literatura também já descreve melhora da sensibilidade nervosa nesses procedimentos, o que, consequentemente, aprimora a função sexual e a qualidade de vida da paciente. Por fim, a radiofrequência é uma ótima alternativa para o tratamento e pode ser utilizado associado a outros, como a psicoterapia, a qual é essencial para disfunções de origem psicogênica. Considerações finais: A radiofrequência é uma alternativa propícia, segura e eficaz para tratar a DSF em todas as pacientes, principalmente nas pacientes que possuem contraindicações ao tratamento de terapia hormonal.
