ZUSAMMENFASSUNG:Die klassischen Vorbeizen zur galvanischen Metallisierung von Polymeren aus Chromtrioxid, Schwefelsaure und PhosphorsPure wurden am Beispiel von StyrolButadien-Copolymeren durch Ozon ersetzt. Die Haftfestigkeit der galvanischen Metallschicht bei einem Butadiengehalt von 73% betrug ca. 12 N/25 mm. Der Oberflachenwiderstand der ozonisierten Copolymeren war > 2 . 10Is 62. Die mit der Ozonisierung verbundenen chemischen und morphologischen Verwderungen wurden durch Molmassenbestimmung, IR-Spektroskopie und Rasterelektronenmikroskopie verfolgt .
SUMMARY:For the electroplating of styrene-butadiene copolymers the classical etching consisting of chromium trioxide, sulfuric acid and phosphoric acid were replaced by ozone. Peel strengths of 12 N/25 mm were obtained with a copolymer consisting of 73 percent polybutadiene. The electrical surface resistance of the ozonisated copolymer was > 2 * 10'' R. The chemical and morphological changes caused by the ozonisation were studied by molecular weight determination, infrared analysis and scanning electron microscopy.
