In this paper, we improved the reversible data hiding method of Qu’s et al. The original image is divided into overlapped equalsize blocks (2x2). Each of block is used to predict a pixel. Then a histogram is constructed from the different value between the original pixel and the prediction pixel. In order to increase thecapacity, the proposed method combination with EMD table to change the histogram. According to Qu’s method, each pixel satisfies only one bit of information is embedded. In our method, by using the EMD table, each pair of eligible pixels can embed three bits of information. Experimental results show that the proposed method increases 1.5 times the hidden performance while the image quality changes negligibly.
Vietnam has a favorable strategic geographic position on the sea. In particular, Tra Vinh is a province with a coastline of 65 km that brings many favorableconditions for the province in exploiting the marine economy, which includes marine tourism. Tra Vinh Province has great potential in developing marine tourism with natural landscapes such as sand dunes, mangroves, primeval forests, along with traditional sea festivals and craft villages. However, the inherent potential and advantages of the province have not been effective in tourism. In this paper, on the basis of analyzing and assessing the potential of marine resources, the authors propose some solutions for developing marine tourism to become a key economic sector of the province.
In the integration and development period, training students, which probably meets the urgent requirements of the companies, businesses in professional and soft skills, is becoming a challenge for all universities as well as for the teachers. To accomplish these requirements, CDIO-based training program not only requires students in criteria about knowledge, skills, and behaviors but also be an expert in the technical design process: conceive, design, implement and operate the systems in the entrepreneurial, social and environmental background. Therefore, how can students be skilled in both soft skills and specialist knowledge, but still meet the CDIO requirements? Based on these things, the authors propose solution to integrate soft skills into teaching specialized knowledge through project-basedbusiness method which helps students satisfy specialized knowledge and soft skills directly related to future careers, and meet CDIO requirements.
Appearance-based recognition methods often encounter difficulties when the input images contain facial expression variations such as laughing, crying or wide mouth opening. In these cases, holistic methods give better performance than appearance-based methods. This paper presents some evaluation on face recognition under variation of facial expression using the combination of PCA and classification algorithms. The experimental results showed that the best accuracy can be obtained with very few eigenvectors and KNN algorithm (with k=1) performs better than SVM in most test cases.
In the era of development, companies and businesses require graduates have to meet specialized skill as well as research skill, job adaptability and soft skills. However, most graduated students only meet specialized skill, while soft skills and research skills are slow to adapt, this leads to the re-training after the businesses recruitment. To overcome these difficulties, the article focused on analyzing the importance and reality of scientific research of Tra Vinh University students. On that basis, the author proposed solutions for improving scientific research in students in order to integrate soft skills training in a practical, effective and consistent with the educational development trend in the new age.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
