The aim of this paper is to present a sub-0.3 V neuromorphic technology developed for spiking neural network design and its potential application. The main properties of the developed ultra low power (ULP) artificial neuron are first recalled. A description of ULP synapses follows that includes the plasticity scheme. The neuromorphic toolbox is then used to design a basic circuit allowing oriented edges classification. The circuit is made of 40 neurons and 108 plastic synapses, its consumed silicon core area is 0.025 mm 2 and the overall power consumption of 5 nW. Finally, the deployment of the technology within an industrial context to fabricate highly energy efficient Spike-based visual sensor is discussed.

Some working contexts have such a complexity that initial training cannot prepare the workers to handle every kind of situation they migh encounter. This lack of training comes at a high price and leads to productivity loss or low quality manufacturing in industry. Above all, it may be the cause of major accident in high-risk domains. To prevent this risks, virtual environments for training should provide a wide range of learning situations, especially the hard ones, to train the learner how to cope with them. Our purpose is to generate such situations according to the user's capacities. Drawing on the Zone of Proximal Development, we designed a learner's profile based on a multimensional space of classes of situations. Each point of the space depicts a belief on the learner's ability to handle a kind of situation. abstract environment.

Abstrucr-An initiative for Robust Control and Reconfiguration o f Shipboard EIectric Power Systems is underway that combines long-term research and education objectives. The Electric Ship Initiation Initiative (ESIf) team brings together the programs and resources of leading electric power research institutions to develop near-to midterm electric ship concepts. Specific focus on the development and implementation of a new educational curriculum l o r scientists, engineers and naval officers provides an essential theme for the education and research program. This collaborative initiative involves 10 projects that are integrated with research throughout various thrust areas required to field a new generation o f more agile, robust, and cost-effective naval presence.

International audienceThe use of storytelling for learning is widely approved and encouraged. Yet, in virtual environments for training, there are difficul-ties to build a story when there is no global control over the course of events. We present in this paper an approach called diegetization. Sup-ported by structuralist narrative theories, this approach aims to dynam-ically match a sequence of events with sequence of narrative patterns. The pedagogical prescriptions are then extended to consolidate the rec-ognized narrative sequences. The process uses semantic models to benefit from pattern matching algorithm and deep inferences.
