Objetivos: Analisar o impacto das mídias sociais para a educação em saúde para a população. Metodologia: Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa de literatura, realizada no período de outubro a dezembro de 2020, seguindo as seis etapas indicadas para a revisão integrativa, a pergunta norteadora foi definida com base no acrônimo PICo. Utilizou-se as bases de dados: Literatura Latino Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde (LILACS), Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (MEDLINE) via PubMed, Base de Dados de Enfermagem (BDENF) e Índice Bibliográfico Español en Ciencias de la Salud. Resultados: Os estudos revelam que as Tecnologias de Informação e Comunicação (TIC), têm ganhado cada vez mais adesão e crédito na proliferação de conteúdo, tendo em vista a acessibilidade de grande parte da população, gerando valorização e desenvolvimento de metodologias inovadoras. Também se tornando bastante importante no âmbito acadêmico, destruindo barreiras, promovendo a propagação do conhecimento. Considerações finais: Com base nos resultados, observa-se que o uso da tecnologia, e de forma especial das mídias digitais, para a inserção da população na construção do seu próprio conhecimento tem grande valia e credibilidade, pois dessa forma, as informações, podem ser repassadas de maneira mais rápida e eficiente para a população.
A deficiência auditiva é considerada uma das deficiências mais prevalentes e, no contexto do atendimento odontológico, a dificuldade em atender ao paciente com deficiência auditiva de forma integral constitui um problema de saúde relevante, porém, pouco abordado. Nesse sentido, o presente estudo objetivou avaliar o conhecimento, a segurança e as dificuldades dos graduandos em Odontologia, frente ao atendimento de pacientes com deficiência auditiva, que utilizam a Língua Brasileira de Sinais (LIBRAS). Assim, foi realizado um estudo observacional transversal e descritivo com aplicação de questionários a 107 acadêmicos do curso de Odontologia, divididos em Períodos Iniciais (1º ao 5º) e Períodos Finais (6º ao 10º). Dos entrevistados, 97% declararam possuir conhecimento quanto ao que é LIBRAS, sendo que 98% consideram que ela ajuda na formação profissional. No entanto, 95% dos acadêmicos não se sentem preparados para atender um deficiente auditivo. Os graduandos (76%) responderam que LIBRAS deveria ser matéria obrigatória na grade curricular. Não houve diferença estatística entre as respostas dos acadêmicos dos períodos iniciais e finais. Assim pode-se inferir que LIBRAS deve estar presente na grade curricular do curso de Odontologia, para melhorar a interação entre paciente e profissional, extinguindo possíveis dificuldades durante o atendimento.

A incapacidade de adquirir a linguagem oral prejudica o indivíduo surdo, pois interfere significativamente nas relações com o mundo e reduz as trocas simbólicas com o meio social. Algumas ferramentas tecnológicas podem auxiliar, ampliando e favorecendo a comunicação entre essas as pessoas. O objetivo desse estudo é investigar a influência das Tecnologias da Informação e Comunicação no processo de socialização de crianças e adolescentes surdos e deficientes auditivos. Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa de literatura, realizada entre os meses de setembro de 2020 a janeiro de 2021, cuja buscas foram realizadas nas bases MEDLINE, LILACS, Web Of Science a partir do uso dos descritores: Criança; Adolescente; Pessoas com Deficiência Auditiva; Tecnologia da Informação; Socialização. Após aplicação dos filtros e refinamentos de títulos e resumos, obteve-se como resultado final 11 artigos que compuseram o corpus de análise deste estudo. Da análise dos estudos emergiram duas categorias de análise: “tecnologias assistivas”, dentre elas destacam aplicativos de softwares, tecnologias auditivas e audiovisuais; e a contribuição das tecnologias para a socialização, que evidenciou as Tecnologias da Informação e Comunicação (TICs) como importantes ferramentas de socialização do público infanto-juvenil, especialmente no ambiente escolar. A utilização de ferramentas tecnológicas constitui-se como estratégia para a participação social de crianças e adolescentes em vários contextos, sejam eles nas mídias televisivas e sociais, âmbito familiar e escolar, recursos públicos, e também no setor de saúde. A pesquisa evidenciou impactos sociais positivos resultantes da implementação das TICs para fomentar a socialização de crianças e adolescentes surdos e deficientes auditivos.
