Este estudio tuvo como objetivo determinar la prevalencia de enfermedades crónicas no transmisibles autoreferidas y su correlación con el estrés entre los trabajadores de enfermería de unidades quirúrgicas. <br /><br />Estudio analítico, transversal, con enfoque cuantitativo, cuya colecta de datos se llevó a cabo a partir de un cuestionario sociodemografico y de la escala Job Stress Scale. <br /><br />Se identificó que 68.6% de los trabajadores negó tener enfermedades crónicas no transmisibles, mientras que el 12,9% informó obesidad, 4,3%, presión arterial alta y 2,9%, depresión. En cuanto al nivel de estrés, se encontró que 51,4% tenía nivel intermedio, 30%, nivel alto y 18,6, nivel bajo. <br /><br />Se concluyó que no hubo correlación entre la autorreferencia de enfermedades crónicas no transmisibles y el nivel de estrés.<br /><br />
Aim: To evaluate the management modes in the workplace of the nursing staff of the surgical ward of a university hospital. Methods: Cross-sectional, descriptive, quantitative and analytical study performed in the Surgical Ward of a university hospital in southern Brazil. Sample consisted of 160 nursing workers who answered the Management Styles Assessment Scale. Comparisons were made using Student's t-test and One-Way analysis of variance (ANOVA), Pearson's chi-square test, multiple comparisons test and multiple linear regression analyzes. Results: The Collectivist style was classified as “Predominant” by 46.2% (72) of the workers. The Normative and Directive styles were rated as “Moderate Presence” by 53.2% (84) and 50.3% (77), respectively. The Individualist style was rated as “Unremarkable” by 60.6% (94) of the sample. Conclusions: The presence of collectivist management meets the characteristics of nursing work, which is patient care, planned and performed jointly and in line with the multiprofessional team in the pursuit of comprehensive care.
The aim of this article is to analyze the teamwork carried out by workers of family health (FH) teams in Porto Alegre as a factor for pleasure and coping with suffering. Method:This was a qualitative study using the theoretical framework of Work Psychodynamics, in which 68 workers from 3 FH teams from Porto Alegre, Brazil participated.The information collection was carried out through observation and collective interviews that occurred from October to December of 2012. The content analysis method was used for the analysis. Results:The FH team workers studied reported that the teamwork was pleasing, as they identified feelings of satisfaction in the work relationships.This feeling of well-being was perceived through the conviviality, bond and good relationshipsamong the professionals of the team.Conversely, when there was no dialogue between the prescribed work and the professionals with their subjective and creative potential in the construction of the work, this caused suffering. Conclusions:It was concluded that the workers of the FH teams considered the teamwork to be a source of pleasure in the work, which gave them identity, uniting them and functioning as the sustainability in the face of difficulties. It also strengthened them as a team and produced exchanges and trustworthiness among the peers, intervening positively for the health of the worker.
