The unbalanced high-calorie diet can be the cause of a number of pathological states, including metabolic syndrome MS . It is well known that the risk of MS increases with age, but gender differences in age-related lipid metabolism changes under this pathology are not fully understood.In order to investigate the mechanisms of atherogenic dyslipidemia under the MS, we study the dynamics of some parameters of lipid and lipoprotein metabolism in hamsters of different sex and age. In our experiments, we found some age and gender differences in lipid and lipoprotein metabolism in healthy hamsters and hamsters with MS. In general, the obtained results demonstrate dyslipidemia development in males feeding high-calorie diet, irrespective of age. We suppose that hypertriglyceridemia in males under the high-calorie diet developed due to the accumulation of triacylglycerols T"Gs in hepatocytes and as a result very low density lipoprotein VLDL over secretion by liver. However, in females feeding high-calorie diet atherogenic dyslipoproteinemia develops only with aging. It can be assumed that the reason why high-calorie diet in females leads to the pathological changes in VLDL morphology and hypertriglyceridemia development is reducing the hepatocytes sensitivity to insulin. Вплив інгібіторів ароматази на вміст загального білка вісцеральної жирової тканини при метаболічному синдромі у хом'ячків Актуальність. В останні роки все більше уваги приділяється ролі посилення периферичної ароматазної реакції в патогенезі розвитку ожиріння і метаболічного синдрому. Близько 39 % чоловіків та 40 % жінок старше 18-и років по всьому світу страждають від надмірної ваги (ІМТ > 25) і у таких пацієнтів майже в усіх випадках відмічається дисбаланс статевих гормонів, який є наслідком посилення ароматазної активності жирової тканини.Мета роботи. Дослідити вплив інгібіторів ароматази на показники загальної маси тіла, вмісту білка в жи-ровій тканині та їх кореляцію у хом'ячків з експериментальним метаболічним синдромом.Матеріали та методи. Вміст білка в гомогенаті вісцеральної жирової тканини визначали за методом Лоурі в модифікації Хартрі. Статистичну обробку результатів проводили методами варіаційної статистики з вико-ристанням непараметричних методів аналізу, взаємозв'язки між ознаками визначали за коефіцієнтом лінійної кореляції Пірсона.Результати та їх обговорення. Найефективнішим препаратом з групи інгібіторів ароматази при зменшен-ні гіпертрофічного росту жирової тканини у всіх тварин незалежно від статі і віку показав себе летрозол. Ана-строзол і екземестан показали дещо меншу ефективність і краще впливали на тварин молодого віку.Висновки. Введення летрозолу в дозі 0,309 мг/кг призводив до вірогідного зменшення середньої маси тіла на 24-35 % і відповідного збільшення вмісту білка в вісцеральній жировій тканині на 12-46 % з високим коефі-цієнтом кореляції. Topicality. Recently, more attention has been paid to the role of the peripheral aromatase reaction enhancement in pathogenesis of obesity and metabolic syndrome. About 39 % of men and 40 % of women over 18 around the world are overweight (BMI > 25) and in almost all cases they have an imbalance of sex hormones, which is caused by increased aromatase activity of adipose tissue.Aim. To study the effect of aromatase inhibitors on the parameters of total body weight, protein content in adipose tissue and their correlation in hamsters with experimental metabolic syndrome.Materials and methods. Protein content in the visceral adipose tissue homogenate was detected by the Lowry method in the Hartree modification. Statistical processing of the results was carried out by variational statistics methods using nonparametric methods of analysis, the interrelations between the signs were determined by the Pearson linear correlation coefficient.Results and discussion. The most effective drug from the group of aromatase inhibitors which reduced hypertrophic growth of adipose tissue in all animals both sexes and ages was letrozole. Anastrozole and exemestane showed less efficacy, and had a better effect on young animals.Сonclusions.
