There is strong evidence that preoperative intraretinal cystoid changes lead to smaller benefit from surgery.

mi-SD-OCT appears to be a valuable tool for intraoperative visualization of the ERM and offers immediate visualization of retinal anatomy during peeling. Therefore, it adds to the understanding of intraoperative traumatic changes due to the peeling procedure.
