Objetivo: Avaliar a influência do estado nutricional na ocorrência de Infecção Respiratória Aguda em crianças menores de dois anos. Métodos: Utilizou-se um estudo descritivo com abordagem quantitativa, os dados foram coletados no Sistema de Informação da Atenção Básica, disponibilizados pelo Departamento de Informática do Sistema Único de Saúde, referente ao período de Janeiro de 2009 a Dezembro de 2014. Para análise estatística aplicou-se a Correlação de Spearman, ajustando-se os dados ao modelo binomial negativo com nível de significância de 5%. Resultados: A média de casos de IRA aumente 3% a cada novo caso de desnutrição na faixa etária de 0-12 meses e aumente 1,5% a cada caso de desnutrição na faixa etária de 12-23 meses. Esse estudo encontrou correlação positiva entre os casos de infecção respiratória aguda e desnutrição. Conclusão: A melhora no estado nutricional implica em um menor risco de adoecimento, na redução no tempo de internação, a diminuição com custos hospitalares.
RESUMO Objetivos: analisar a sazonalidade climática das doenças respiratórias em crianças de 0 a 9 anos e apresentar um modelo para previsão de internações hospitalares para os anos de 2021 a 2022. Métodos: propôs-se verificar, de maneira temporal, a correlação de internações para pneumonia, bronquite/bronquiolite e asma com variáveis meteorológicas, visando verificar a sazonalidade com o ajuste de modelos de séries temporais. Resultados: percebeu-se, para todas as enfermidades, o efeito sazonal no número de casos registrados, com o maior número de registros nos meses de outono e inverno. Conclusões: foi possível constatar uma tendência de diminuição no registro de casos de pneumonia; já para os casos de internações por bronquite e bronquiolite, observou-se uma leve tendência de aumento; e, em relação as taxas de ocorrência de asma, não houve variação.
Objetivo: Analisar o discurso das mulheres assistidas por um profissional Doula num cenário obstétrico hospitalar. Métodos: Estudo qualitativo, descritivo e exploratório, tipo pesquisa-ação, realizado com 10 mulheres assistidas por um profissional do gênero masculino com formação em doula, em um serviço materno-infantil do estado da Paraíba, Nordeste do Brasil. Os dados empíricos foram produzidos entre setembro e novembro de 2016, por meio de um formulário de entrevista semiestruturado, com gravação e transcrição das falas, com análise de discurso. Resultados: As mulheres demonstram sentimentos de gratidão e segurança ao serem assistidas por um doulo durante a sua permanência na maternidade. Conclusão: As mulheres sentiram-se encorajadas, à vontade e seguras. O fato de o profissional ser do gênero masculino não impossibilitou que a assistência de Enfermagem fosse satisfatória.
Existe uma prevalência nos registros hospitalares por doenças respiratórias, em especial nas crianças. A pneumonia é uma das morbidades respiratórias com maiores registros de morbimortalidade no Brasil e no município em estudo. Objetivou-se com esta pesquisa analisar a influência das variáveis meteorológicas nas internações por pneumonia em crianças. A atual pesquisa se trata de um estudo epidemiológico, descritivo de corte transversal com abordagem quantitativa e descritiva. Para a análise estatística dos dados foi ajustado o modelo binomial negativo pertencente à classe dos modelos lineares generalizados, adotando-se um nível de significância de 5%, com base na plataforma estatística R. Estimou-se que o número médio de casos de pneumonia aumente aproximadamente 48 % a cada grau centígrado de aumento da temperatura média do ar e diminua aproximadamente 32% a cada grau centígrado de aumento da temperatura máxima do ar, diminuindo também em torno de 3% a cada 1% de aumento acima da média da umidade relativa, em relação a variável vento espera-se que o número de casos de pneumonia aumente em torno de 36% com o aumento na velocidade do vento. Avaliar o risco para a saúde da população em razão dos dados climáticos é um passo importante para o planejamento e a implementação de ações. Os gestores da saúde pública podem utilizar o modelo de previsão para preparar os serviços de saúde para receber crianças em períodos em que ocorrem maiores registros de casos de pneumonia.
Variáveis climáticas como a precipitação, umidade relativa e temperatura, podem afetar a saúde humana de forma direta e indireta devido ao fato do corpo humano estar em permanente contato com o meio ambiente atmosférico. As doenças do aparelho circulatório (DAC) representam um importante problema de saúde pública no Brasil, por serem a principal causa de mortalidade, sendo também uma das principais causas de hospitalização. Diante desse contexto, este estudo tem como objetivo analisar o grau de relação entre hospitalizações por DAC e fatores climáticos no município de Campina Grande-PB. O atual estudo trata-se de uma pesquisa ecológica de séries temporais para o período compreendido entre 1998 e 2013.Inicialmente foram analisadas as internações por DAC, em seguida, essas internações foram associadas a valores médios das variáveis climáticas medidas no município. Os métodos estatístico utilizados foram o teste de Shapiro-Wilk, a correlação de Pearson e regressão linear múltipla. Esse estudo encontrou correlação entre os elementos climáticos e internações por doenças hipertensivas. A correlação verificada com os elementos climáticos indica que as internações por DAC apresentam correlações de moderadas a fortes. As variáveis temperatura média e umidade relativa do ar são as que mais influenciam no comportamento destas doenças. Os elementos climáticos juntos explicam 43% das internações por doenças hipertensivas, 36% das internações por doenças isquêmicas do coração e 34% das internações por insuficiência cardíaca.
