El artículo tiene por objetivo comprender el fenómeno del techo de cristal (TC) desde las percepciones y experiencias de las profesoras-investigadoras universitarias, respecto del acceso de las mujeres a los cargos directivos de la universidad. Considerando un enfoque de investigación cualitativo y el método de estudio de caso único, se analiza dicha problemática en una universidad en México a través de entrevistas semiestructuradas realizadas a 20 mujeres con experiencia en puestos directivos universitarios. Las entrevistadas reconocen algunas barreras que configuran el techo de cristal en la universidad estudiada, pero valoran positivamente el histórico impacto de la única mujer que ha ocupado el cargo de rectora en la institución, como una líder que se convierte en un factor relevante para avanzar en la igualdad de género en la organización. Se identifican algunas propuestas de estructuras, políticas y acciones institucionales que pueden contribuir a la eliminación más efectiva de las barreras u obstáculos que configuran el techo de cristal en las instituciones universitarias.
Objetivo: analizar la asociación entre las variables sociodemográficas, clínicas e inmunofenotípicas presentes al diagnóstico, con la supervivencia global en pacientes con diagnóstico de leucemia linfoide aguda (LLA), atendidos en la Clínica FOSCAL en el periodo 2013-2020. Materiales y métodos: análisis secundario anidado al “Registro Epidemiológico de pacientes adultos con Leucemia Linfoblástica Aguda” de pacientes mayores de 18 años atendidos en FOSCAL. Se realizó análisis univariado para la caracterización de la población y bivariado para medidas de efecto el riesgo relativo (RR), supervivencia por Kaplan-Meier y Hazard ratio (HR) para el cociente de riesgos. Se utilizó el paquete estadístico STATA V14. Se obtuvo aprobación del comité de ética institucional (03109/2020).
Los traductores automáticos pueden ser un recurso de fácil acceso en la actualidad debido a la inmediatez con la que ofrece una traducción. Sin embargo, por la complejidad que conlleva la equivalencia de significados entre dos lenguas, esta herramienta tecnológica puede producir errores gramaticales, léxicos o socioculturales porque se requiere de la comprensión y la creatividad humana para trasladar conceptos desde una lengua a otra. Respecto a la traducción especializada, específicamente la traducción técnica, es normal que sucedan más dificultades al realizar traducciones de forma automática, pues se necesita el dominio de terminología muy concreta. Por ello, en este artículo se presentan los resultados de una investigación realizada con los alumnos de la carrera Licenciado en Idiomas de la Universidad Juárez Autónoma de Tabasco que estudian el campo de Traducción e Interpretación, así como profesores de la carrera. Para esto, se elaboró un cuestionario cualitativo y una entrevista con el fin de encontrar información desde dos perspectivas distintas acerca de la implementación de los traductores automáticos durante el ejercicio de traducción técnica italiano-español. Los resultados indicaron que tanto estudiantes como docentes hacen un uso adecuado de la traducción automática y no la consideran como una solución fácil para resolver la labor traductora.
