Az angol határrendészeti szaknyelv a nyelvészetileg kevéssé feltárt szakmai nyelvek közé sorolható. Oktatása – különösen napjainkban, a nemzetközi határrendészeti együttműködés erősítése iránti igény fényében – egyre fontosabbá válik, ennek intézményes megoldása azonban számos országban nehézségekbe ütközik.
The aim of this series of papers is to present modern methods of linguistics and language pedagogy concerning specific-purpose language competences and to describe the English competences EU border guards need for their work and international activities and to explore the prospects for their improvement. The first part discusses the dilemmas and methodology related to the definition of specific-purpose language competences, indispensable for language course design. The second and the third parts wish to prove that the ongoing FRONTEX project entitled English Communication for Border and Coast Guards very well illustrates how the new approach to needs analysis methods is used to define the English language skills needed for border control in the EU. Using the authentic material provided by border guards and the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, the author also makes an attempt to define the ESP competences at various levels, needed for their work, according to the categories used in applied linguistics. The second and the third parts discuss elementary and intermediate (A2/B1) and upper-intermediate (B2) EBG competences respectively.
A védőmaszk viselése fontos kiegészítő járványügyi intézkedés a légzőszervi betegségek, így a Covid-19-vírus terjedési kockázatának csökkentésére is. Ezek a maszkok az arcfelület mintegy 60-70 százalékát lefedik, olyan területen, amely elengedhetetlenül fontos a mentális állapotok hatékony verbális és nem verbális kommunikációjához és észleléséhez, ennek következtében bonyolíthatják a társadalmi interakciókat, különösen a klinikai környezetben, ahol a kommunikációs készségek és a jó orvos-beteg kapcsolat nélkülözhetetlenek a minőségi ellátáshoz. A szerzők áttekintik az arcmaszkok hatékony orvos-beteg kommunikációra gyakorolt hatásával kapcsolatos szakirodalmat és kutatási eredményeket, valamint javaslatokat tesznek a nehézségek kompenzálására olyan kiegészítő kommunikációs módozatok bemutatásával, amelyek lehetővé teszik, hogy az orvos-beteg interakciók a pandémia következtében előírt védőfelszerelések és maszkok mögött is jó eséllyel a megszokottól eltérő, mégis hatékony módon működjenek.
The aim of this series of papers is to present modern methods of linguistics and language pedagogy concerning specific-purpose language competences and, applying them to English for Border Guards (EBG), to describe the English competences to be developed at language courses for border guards in EU member states and to explore the prospects for their improvement. Having discussed the dilemmas and methodology related to the definition of specific-purpose language competences and to needs analyses, indispensable for language course design in the first part of the series, the further parts wish to prove that the ongoing FRONTEX project entitled English Communication for Border and Coast Guards very well illustrates how the new approach to needs analysis methods is used to define the English language skills needed for border control in the EU. The author also presents that, based on the authentic material provided by border guards, the ESP competences needed for their work can be defined according to the categories used in applied linguistics and the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.Due to the length limits of this paper, this part will only discuss elementary and intermediate (A2/B1) EBG competences.
