O artigo apresenta aspectos de um projeto de investigação dedicado à realização do estudo de estratégias discursivas circulantes no embate entre ciência e notícias falsas frente à profusão de informações sobre a Covid-19. Com base na noção weberiana do propósito lógico-racional do Iluminismo, o artigo indaga sobre as características de estratégias discursivas que disputam reconhecimento quanto ao valor de verdade de suas narrativas. O artigo detém-se na análise empírica do trailer promocional do documentário “Plandemic”, ocupado em denunciar o que denominam de “farsa da Covid-19”. Operou-se uma análise comparativa entre asserções apresentadas no vídeo, referentes a aspectos científicos sobre a Covid-19, e informações de dois tipos: de caráter científico e informações publicadas por organizações de referência em saúde pública. A análise colabora para esclarecer aspectos da disputa de narrativas.
Este artigo trata sobre os modos pelos quais as relações de poder interferem no discurso noticioso sobre ciência e tecnologia em jornais impressos de sete cidades da região fronteiriça do Rio Grande do Sul (RS). Para entendermos como isso ocorre, baseamo-nos na metodologia da Análise do Discurso objetivando analisar a forma como a temática científica é abordada em sete jornais da região de fronteira oeste e sul do RS, publicados durante o ano de 2010. Optamos por categorizar os enunciados em formatos jornalísticos e evidenciamos a existência dos formatos indicador, roteiro, cotação e notícia, além da necessidade de denominar três novos: o colunismo social científico, o relato de curiosidade e a informação prescritiva.
