La pandemia generó suspensión de clases presenciales y la implementación de la educación virtual. El objetivo de este estudio fue diagnosticar y analizar la percepción de estudiantes universitarios y su accesibilidad tecnológica durante la emergencia educativa en el suroeste de República Dominicana (enero-abril de 2020). Se empleó un método mixto de investigación, se aplicó una encuesta y se analizaron las respuestas mediante estadística descriptiva e inferencia estadística, análisis descriptivo y construcción de redes semánticas. Respecto a la accesibilidad tecnológica, los resultados muestran que predomina el uso de teléfonos en vez de computadoras y falta de acceso a Internet. Según los estudiantes existen más aspectos negativos que positivos en la educación virtual, ya que faltan equipos tecnológicos y accesibilidad a internet, lo que genera frustración e incomodidad, así como dificultades de aprendizaje. También la sobrecarga de asignaturas y actividades, ya que más de 60 tareas fueron asignadas para desarrollar en un mes, lo que para ellos demuestra insensibilidad de los docentes frente a la situación. El distanciamiento social generó ansiedad debido al aislamiento y falta de concentración para el aprendizaje. Entre los aspectos positivos está el uso de la tecnología, que facilita el aprendizaje y permite la continuidad de los estudios.
Objetivo: El objetivo de este trabajo fue el de hacer una busqueda bibliografica y sistematizada de trabajos que propongan recomendaciones generales de medidas preventivas para un retorno seguro al trabajo ante el COVID-19. Metodología: Este trabajo es un estudio descriptivo y retrospectivo. Estuvo fundamentada en la búsqueda activa de diversas fuentes de información en diferentes bases de datos. Resultados y Discusión: Debido a las repercusiones en el trabajo que por el COVID-19 se han presentado, es necesario establecer estrategias e implementar acciones que permitan a los centros de trabajo, romper de manera oportuna las cadenas de trasmisión, garantizando la continuidad de la actividad en sus centros laborales. Conclusión: Las recomendaciones para los empleadores y trabajadores en el retorno al trabajo seguro se basan en un plan estratégico que incluye medidas de: Lavado de manos, higiene respiratoria, educación y capacitación, así como medidas preventivas en el trayecto de la casa al centro de trabajo y viceversa (Vehículo, higiene, transporte público) vigiladas y supervisadas para constatar la correcta implementación de todas las medidas en las empresas o el centro de trabajo.
La pandemia por el COVID-19 ha generado urgentes cambios en todos los ambientes y en el educativo también. La educación y capacitación a distancia se ha instaurado en todo el mundo y se tendrán que evaluar esta modalidad. La educación de los futuros profesionistas de la salud ante esta pandemia debe de continuar y sobre todo si es para capacitar a licenciados en enfermería. El Objetivo de este estudio fue evaluar la efectividad de la capacitación en línea de alumnos de enfermería para la obtención de competencias teórico-prácticas sobre el manejo cuidados de pacientes con COVID-19. Metodología. Se trata de un estudio descriptivo, transversal en el que se capacitó a distancia a 427 alumnos, sobre 5 módulos de COVID-19. Para el análisis estadístico se calcularon medidas de tendencia central utilizando el paquete estadístico SPSS, versión 22.0. Resultados: De un total de 427alumnos de 8° a 10° semestre de la licenciatura en enfermería con conocimientos previos de intervenciones de enfermería para la atención de pacientes en primer y segundo nivel de atención. La distribución por género fue de 17.8% (76) masculino y el 81.4% (351) femenino. Del primer grupo, el 12.5% obtuvieron un promedio de 9 y en el segundo grupo el 49.2% un promedio de 9. Discusión: Desde los primeros casos de COVID-19 en China y la cuarentena a guardar en diferentes países y el guardar distancia como método para disminuir los contagios en la población, ha existido cambios en todos los ámbitos, así como en el educativo donde el e-learning se ha generalizado con el fin de educar y capacitar a los estudiantes. Conclusión: La educación a distancia es eficaz para la capacitación y educación en los estudiantes de la salud en época de pandemia donde debe prevalecer una sana distancia para prevenir los contagios.
