El avance vertiginoso de la ciencia y las tecnologías de la información y la comunicación (TIC), enriquecen las oportunidades de aprendizaje, siendo de vital importancia desarrollar una visión de futuro porque los métodos tradicionales son cada vez menos efectivos y para muchos las Universidades siguen siendo el principal espacio para adquirir conocimientos, valores, mecanismos de socialización así como también computadoras e internet, por lo consiguiente las Universidades globales deben privilegiar espacios sincrónicos y asincrónicos, potenciando esfuerzos de política pública para lograr aprendizajes significativos, pertinentes y de calidad mediados por tecnologías para responder a las necesidades de un mundo globalizado.
La obesidad y el sobrepeso se definen como “una acumulación anormal o excesiva de grasa que puede ser perjudicial para la salud”. En México la prevalencia de obesidad y sobrepeso tanto como en los niños como los adultos ha incrementado las últimas tres décadas y esto ha provocado que actualmente México sea uno de los países con mayor prevalencia de obesidad en el mundo. Objetivo: Determinar la capacidad de autocuidado de los estudiantes de enfermería mediante la evaluación de aspectos de su estilo de vida que repercuten en el riesgo de padecer obesidad y sobrepeso. Método: Se realizó un estudio descriptivo transversal, aplicando un instrumento cuantitativo a 43 estudiantes de 3ero a 6to semestre de la licenciatura en Enfermería de una universidad pública del Estado de Hidalgo. Resultados: El 21% de la población presenta un IMC indicativo de sobrepeso mientras que el 14% presenta algún tipo de obesidad. El 46.5% realiza al menos 3 comidas al día de las cuales el 27.9% son alimentos de comida rápida y el 58.1% señaló comer cereal o sándwich. Además, el 62.8% indica no realizar actividad física. Conclusiones: El 97.7% de los estudiantes conoce el autocuidado y tiene en cuenta la serie de elementos que este implica, pero a pesar de conocer dichos factores el estudio refleja presencia de sobrepeso y obesidad, así como de conductas no saludables en la comunidad estudiantil.
Este relato nos narra las experiencias como prisionero en los campos de concentración de Viktor Frankl. Donde el hombre en busca de sentido es mucho más que el testimonio de un psiquiatra sobre los hechos y los acontecimientos vividos en un campo de concentración, es una lección existencial. Dentro de los campos de concentración había dos tipos de prisioneros diferentes, a saber: el prisionero corriente, que sufría los trabajos más duros y recibía la crueldad de los soldados "capos", prisioneros que actuaban como especie de administradores y tenían privilegios especiales, para este trabajo se elegía únicamente a los más brutales. La logoterapia, es un método psicoterapéutico creado por el propio Frankl, se centra precisamente en el sentido de la existencia y en la búsqueda de ese sentido por parte del hombre, que asume la responsabilidad ante sí mismo, ante los demás y ante la vida. ¿Qué espera la vida de nosotros? Frankl nos enseña que siempre vamos a tener la libertad de escoger como nos comportamos frente a las diversas situaciones de nuestra vida, y podemos jugar un papel de “victima” o hacer algo al respecto.
El ácido acético del salicilato (AAS), es rápidamente absorbido por el estómago y la parte superior del intestino, el máximo nivel en el plasma de salicilato es entre 60 y 90 minutos. Después de su absorción como AAS se hidroxila a ácido acético y salicilato por esterasas en los tejidos y la sangre, los efectos del AAS sobre la célula son complejos y los principales mecanismos incluyen la inhibición de la enzima ciclo-oxigenosa y el concomitante bloqueo de ambos prostaglandinas y síntesis de tromboxano. El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo determinar la eliminación de AAS en la orina de voluntarios sanos y la influencia que tiene la presentación del fármaco y el pH gastrointestinal en su eliminación. Para cumplir el objetivo se requirió de seis voluntarios sanos que tomaran 250 mg de AAS en las dos presentaciones del fármaco acompañados con diferentes bebidas (jugo de uva, naranja, eferente, leche, yogurt de mango), se utilizó de un espectrofotómetro en las muestras de orina recolectadas a diferentes tiempos posteriores a la administración del medicamento y se determinó el contenido del salicilato en cada una de las muestras, midiendo el pH y el volumen recolectado de cada muestra de orina. Se tomó una alícuota de 2 ml de la muestra de orina, después se añadió 8 ml de ácido clorhídrico 0.1N, Se agito y se filtró, también se tomó 5 ml del filtrado y acciones 1 ml del reactivo de trinder. dando como resultado una variación en el volumen de la orina y en el pH de acuerdo con la forma farmacéutica y la bebida previamente ingerida. Después de llevar a cabo el desarrollo de la práctica de manera exitosa pudimos analizar y verificar los resultados obtenidos, se pudo expresar en ml/mm la depuración de AAS y así comprobar la importancia de la presentación de los medicamentos en la farmacocinética y la influencia de pH gastrointestinal en pacientes sanos, concluyendo que las concentraciones obtenidas de salicilato en cada intervalo de recolección fueron normalizándose.
