Aunque Sloterdijk no es exactamente un filósofo de la educación, sus obras presentan una serie de retos para un análisis crítico de la escuela y de los modelos educativos que tenemos. Este artículo pretende contribuir a esta reflexión. Las cuestiones que nos invitan a la reflexión y que motivan el presente texto parten de la crítica al modelo educativo actual e histórico, que se asocia al proceso de "domesticación" como propósito de la escuela, a su significado como tecnología de producción de lo humano ―antropotecnologías―, a la asociación educación-humanismo y su fracaso, a lo que puede significar la dimensión práctica del aprendizaje como técnica de ejercicio y al estancamiento en que se encuentra hoy la escolarización. Se recurre fundamentalmente a dos de los textos de Sloterdijk con mayor impacto en el universo de la educación y la pedagogía: Normas para el parque humano y Has de cambiar de vida, aunque se hará referencia a otros textos de otros filósofos. Las ideas de una vida de ejercicios, con un matiz práctico, pero sin perder la dimensión del progreso espiritual personal, pueden ser algunas de las salidas a la actual crisis de la educación.
RESUMO Desde o projeto da modernidade, criou-se a expetativa do poder libertador da educação, na lógica do progresso civilizacional, em que as conquistas da escolarização poderiam libertar o sujeito do obscurantismo, da ignorância e dos poderes políticos alienantes. Este artigo reflete sobre o par emancipação-retrocesso no âmbito do discurso educacional contemporâneo e discute se hoje faz sentido afirmar que a educação pode ainda emancipar. Parte, assim, de uma perspetiva crítica de emancipação, reflete sobre o perigo do retrocesso no contexto da pós-modernidade e, sob o signo da esperança, coloca um conjunto de interrogações e reflexões críticas, concluindo que o par emancipação-retrocesso, inserido em uma perspetiva evolutiva, expressa um tempo de mudança na reconfiguração do par emancipação-alienação.
