The purpose of this study was to analyze the perception of the users of the Academia da Cidade Program in Recife, Northeastern Brazil, regarding their satisfaction with the provision of services and perception of changes linked to quality of life after joining this program. Therefore, a case study with a qualitative approach was performed. The study subjects were 28 users aged between 28 and 73 years, selected intentionally, using the criterion of saturation and diversity of centers. Data collection was carried out from August to December 2014. The gathering of meanings proposed by Kvale was the method used to analyze the interviews. Lack of materials, time and type of activities were the complaints made by users. The perception of changes associated with quality of life was observed through the perception of improvement in health, the pleasure of physical activity, social interaction and good relationship with the professionals involved in the Academia da Cidade Program-Recife. It was concluded that one of the fundamental aspects of quality of service refers to the satisfaction of its users and the quality of satisfaction that produces effective and positive effect on their quality of life.

RESUMO: Em face de características relacionadas à infraestrutura, situação edáfica, hídrica e social, peculiares do semiárido brasileiro, é precípua a utilização de sistemas de cultivo alternativos que considerem tais características, inclusive a qualidade da água disponível. Dentro desta lógica, o objetivo do presente trabalho foi avaliar os efeitos do estresse salino sobre as variáveis de produção e pós-colheita de flores de girassóis cultivadas em um sistema hidropônico alternativo de baixo custo. Utilizou-se de delineamento experimental inteiramente casualizado, analisado em esquema fatorial 4 x 3, com três repetições; os tratamentos consistiram na utilização de quatro níveis de salinidade da solução nutritiva (1,7 -testemunha; 4,3; 6,0 e 9,0 dS m -1 ) na produção de três cultivares de girassol (sol noturno, bonito de outono e anão de jardim). Verificou-se que, mesmo sob efeito da salinidade da solução nutritiva até o nível de 9 dS m -1 , o número de pétalas e a duração pós-colheita mantiveram-se dentro dos padrões comerciais para as cultivares "Sol-Noturno" e "Anão-de-Jardim".

RESUMOO nitrogênio é o nutriente mais requerido pelas plantas por assumir funções importantes no metabolismo vegetal. Na cultura do girassol, sua deficiência causa desordem nutricional, sendo o nutriente que mais limita a produção. Além disso, a escassez de água limita o crescimento e a produção das plantas. Por isto, o trabalho foi desenvolvido na área experimental da Unidade Acadêmica de Engenharia Agrícola da Universidade Federal de Campina Grande, no período de março a junho de 2010, objetivando-se avaliar a fitomassa do girassol cv. EMBRAPA 122/V-2000 submetido às doses de nitrogênio (0; 60; 80 e 100 kg ha -1 ) e níveis de água disponível no solo (55; 70; 85; e 100%). O delineamento experimental utilizado foi inteiramente casualizado, analisado em esquema fatorial (4 x 4) com três repetições totalizando 48 unidades experimentais. As plantas de girassol foram cultivadas em vasos com capacidade para 35 L preenchidos com solo classificado como Luvissolo e mantidas sob irrigação diária. Por ocasião da colheita, avaliaram-se as variáveis: Fitomassa fresca e seca da parte aérea, do caule, das folhas e do capítulo sem aquênios, e o teor de água na parte aérea. A adubação nitrogenada não influenciou a produção de fitomassa fresca e da fitomassa seca do girassol cv. EMBRAPA 122/V-2000, com exceção da fitomassa seca de caule. Todas as variáveis avaliadas apresentaram comportamento linear crescente em função da água disponível do solo. A interação entre a dose 80 kg ha -1 de N e o nível de 100% de água disponível no solo foi adequada para os melhores resultados da produção de fitomassa.

A B S T R A C TThe increase of water use efficiency in crop production is a clear need in areas with restricted access to this resource and, in these cases, the adoption of forms of cultivation contextualized to local conditions are essential. Thus, the implications of the variation in the amount of seeds per cell (0.5, 1.0, 1.5 and 2.0 g) and spacing between cells (7.0, 10.0 and 15.0 cm) on variables related to consumption and water use efficiency for the production of coriander (cv. Tabocas) in a low-cost hydroponic system, an alternative for semiarid regions, were evaluated. A completely randomized experimental design, analysed in 4 x 3 factorial scheme with three replicates, was adopted, and the data were subjected to analysis of variance at 0.05 probability level. It was found that the reduction in the spacing between cells has a better cost-benefit ratio with respect to water consumption, biomass produced and cost of seeds. Therefore, it is recommended the adoption of a spacing of 7.0 cm between cells and the use of 1.0 g seeds per cell; this configuration promoted efficiency of 81.59 g L -1 in shoot green mass production and total mass of 62.4 g coriander bunches.Eficiência do uso da água na produção do coentro em hidroponia de baixo custo R E S U M O O incremento da eficiência do uso da água na produção das culturas é uma necessidade evidente em regiões com acesso restrito a este recurso e, nesses casos, a adoção de formas de cultivo contextualizadas à realidade local é imprescindível. Neste contexto, avaliou-se as implicações da variação da quantidade de sementes por célula (0,5; 1,0; 1,5 e 2,0 g) e do espaçamento entre células (7,0; 10,0 e 15,0 cm) sobre variáveis relacionadas ao consumo e eficiência do uso da água na produção de molhos de coentro (cv. Tabocas) em um "módulo hidropônico de baixo custo", alternativo para regiões semiáridas. Adotou-se um delineamento experimental inteiramente casualizado analisado em esquema fatorial 4 x 3, com três repetições cujos dados foram submetidos à análise de variância em nível de 0,05 de probabilidade. Verificou-se que a redução dos espaços entre células proporcionou melhor relação custo benefício em relação ao consumo de água, massa produzida e custo de sementes. Recomenda-se, portanto, a adoção de 7,0 cm de espaçamento entre células e a utilização de 1,0 g de sementes célula -1 ; esta configuração proporcionou eficiência de 81,59 g L -1 na produção de massa verde da parte aérea e molhos de 62,4 g de massa total.

Work processes begin by establishing intervention objectives, followed by defining the object that professionals seek to transform and the availability and means of performing tasks and achieving the expected products. The aim of this study was to assess the perception of physical education professionals regarding the purpose of their activities, the object of their professional intervention and the products of their work in the Academia da Saúde (Health Academy) Program. To that end, we carried out a qualitative study with 18 professionals working in the Metropolitan Region of Recife, Pernambuco state, in northeastern Brazil. Content analysis of the interviews used the condensation of meaning technique. It was found that these workers identified health promotion as a goal of their actions, individuals and communities as objects of their intervention, and improvement of physical and functional performance, social interaction and biopsychosocial benefits as the main products of their work in the program. On the other hand, perception of health promotion focuses on changing behavior, and lack of coordination in program activities with Basic Health Care teams demonstrates a worrisome move away from proposals for intersectoral and organizational multidisciplinary work processes with a view to comprehensive care in the National Health System (SUS).

The aim of this research was to determine (210)Pb concentrations in rocks and soils of farms located in the municipalities of Pedra and Venturosa. In these farms, rolled blocks of mafic rock with a high percentage of U(3)O(8) were found. The concentrations of (210)Pb varied from 3.2 to 201 kBq kg(-1) in rock samples and from 195 to 86,400 Bq kg(-1) in soil samples. The high levels of radioactivity found in the samples, indicate the need to conduct more detailed studies to evaluate the risk of radionuclide ingestion due to milk consumption by the population in the state of Pernambuco.

Lead is a heavy metal widely distributed in soil since it is constantly produced by the radioactive decay series of uranium ( 238 U), actinium ( 235 U), and thorium ( 232 Th). The purpose of this research was to determine lead concentrations in fresh milk and derivates of the farms located in the municipalities of Pedra and Venturosa, in the state of Pernambuco, Brazil. The concentration of lead varied from 3 to 90 µg L −1 in fresh milk, from 20 to 1,050 µg kg −1 in curdled cheese, and from 6 to 20 µg L −1 in milk serum. Seven samples of fresh milk and one of curdled cheese presented concentration limits higher than those established by the Brazilian Ministry of Health.
