Este artículo presenta los resultados de una investigación sobre las políticas de accountability escolar a nivel internacional y en particular en los sistemas nacionales de evaluación de Brasil y Colombia, en un período comprendido entre los años 2010 y 2020. La investigación se orientó por la pregunta: ¿Cuáles son las concepciones, los referentes, los tipos, las consecuencias, las oposiciones y resistencias que se generan en la implementación de las políticas de accountability escolar en los niveles de la educación primaria, secundaria y media de Brasil y Colombia en la segunda década del siglo XXI? Se asumió el análisis de contenidos como metodología del estudio, se revisaron artículos resultados de investigación en revistas de circulación nacional e internacional para luego utilizar el método comprado crítico a partir de la construcción de unas categorías que permitieron inferir semejanzas, diferencias y concurrencias en los dos sistemas educativos citados. En lo referente a Brasil y Colombia se seleccionaron investigaciones en los niveles de pregrado, posgrado y artículos investigativos ubicados en los repositorios institucionales universitarios. También se consultaron documentos oficiales de organismos internacionales y entidades estatales asociadas con la educación en las unidades de comparación. Los hallazgos para Brasil y Colombia, -a pesar de la escasa investigación-, dan cuenta, por un lado, de que la comprensión de la accountability está ligada a la idea de rendición de cuentas, social y educativa, y por otro, se observa la legitimación de dos tipos de rendición de cuentas-accountability, la profesional y la performativa. Los rasgos de estas políticas que han derivado en unas consecuencias para la comprensión y práctica de la evaluación en el aula en las que predomina la evaluación como medición y como una tecnología de gobernanza en alineación con las políticas de los Organismos Internacionales en detrimento de los procesos socioeducativos y la formación de sujetos para el mundo de la vida.
Este artigo tem como objetivo explorar referenciais teóricos de produções científicas sobre políticas de avaliação educacional e accountability, por meio de um exercício de metapesquisa. Especificamente, o texto em tela analisa artigos publicados em periódicos científicos do Brasil e da Colômbia, indexados em bases de dados, tais como a Redalyc ou equivalente. Os resultados alcançados permitiram constatar a pouca incidência de produções em que os autores explicitam a perspectiva epistemológica, o posicionamento epistemológico e os autores de referência, aspectos centrais em estudos do tipo metapesquisa. Ao passo que essa constatação expõe algumas fragilidades nas publicações sobre o tema, evidencia um campo vasto para estudos futuros sobre os referenciais teóricos na produção científica sobre políticas de avaliação educacional e accountability.
