O objetivo do estudo foi comparar a qualidade de vida de mulheres de diferentes faixas etárias que participam de um programa de promoção à saúde. O objetivo do presente estudo foi de avaliar a utilização da Baropodometria como instrumento de avaliação do equilíbrio em mulheres idosas. O estudo foi constituído por uma amostra de 26 mulheres idosas (66,38±4,65 anos), todas saudáveis. Foram realizados três testes para avaliar o equilíbrio, em dois momentos (teste e reteste): Timed Up-and-go (TUG), Escala de Equilíbrio de Berg (EEB) e Baropodometria. A análise estatística foi realizada por meio da estatística descritiva (média ± desvio padrão), comparações e correlações (SPSS, p≤0,05). Na comparação das médias entre teste e reteste, todas as variáveis da baropodometria apresentaram valores semelhantes entre os dois momentos, enquanto que os valores de correlação indicaram correlações significativas somente quando realizados com os olhos fechados. O objetivo foi medir a prevalência de dor musculoesquelética em praticantes de treinamento de força (TF) e sua associação com diferentes variáveis do treino. A amostra foi composta por 175 adultos praticantes de TF. Foram utilizados como instrumentos de avaliação um questionário geral e o Questionário Nórdico de Dor. Os resultados apresentaram que 73,7% da amostra investigada indicou dor em, pelo menos, um ponto anatômico. Em relação às variáveis do TF, aqueles sujeitos que praticam TF há mais tempo (>3 anos), apresentaram uma prevalência de dor, quando comparados aos de menor tempo desta prática (<1 ano). Conclui-se que a prevalência de dor entre praticantes de TF é elevada, onde o tempo de prática e o uso de cargas leves potencializa sua ocorrência.
A população brasileira vem envelhecendo de forma rápida, sendo os idosos o estrato da população mais sedentária da sociedade, o que pode levar a um declínio na qualidade de vida. O objetivo deste estudo foi verificar a associação de equilíbrio e capacidade funcional em mulheres idosas. Método: Trata-se de estudo descritivo correlacional, constituído por uma amostra de 31 idosas, com idades entre 60 e 75 anos, todas saudáveis. Foram realizados dois testes para avaliar o equilíbrio: Escala de Equilíbrio de Berg – EEB e Baropodometria (em quatro posições); três para capacidade funcional: Timed Up-and-go – TUG; teste de subir degraus; teste de sentar e levantar em uma cadeira. Resumo: O objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar a influência do nível de atividade física no equilíbrio em mulheres idosas. A amostra foi constituída por 15 mulheres idosas, com idade entre 60 e 78 anos, aparentemente saudáveis. Para se avaliar o nível de atividade física foi aplicado o Questionário Internacional de Atividade Física (IPAQ). Após responderem o IPAQ as idosas foram divididas em dois grupos: idosas sedentárias (GSED; n = 8) e ativas (GATI; n = 7). Para a avaliação do equilíbrio foram utilizados a Baropodometria, Escala de Equilíbrio de Berg e o teste Time Up and Go. Somente foram encontradas diferenças significativas (p ≤ 0,05) entre os grupos no teste Time Up and Go a favor do grupo GATI (6,03±0,48 vs 6,89±0,88 s). Concluímos neste estudo que o nível de atividade física tem influência no equilíbrio dinâmico e não no equilíbrio estático de mulheres idosas.Palavras-chave: Nível de atividade física. Idosas.
