Objective: To identify the most frequent nursing diagnoses in chronic renal failure patients on hemodialysis. Methods: A cross-sectional study including 178 patients, selected by convenience sample, consecutively recruited. For data collection, interview guides and physical examination were used. An individual process of clinical judgment for the nursing diagnoses was performed and, for better accuracy, the results obtained underwent a process of paired review among the authors. Results: Twenty-four nursing diagnoses were identified, of which the most frequent were: risk for infection (100%); excessive fluid volume (99.4%); and, hypothermia (61.8%). Conclusion: The most frequent diagnoses identified were included in the safety / protection and nutrition domains of NANDA-I. ResumoObjetivo: identificar os diagnósticos de enfermagem mais frequentes em pacientes renais crônicos em hemodiálise. Métodos: Estudo transversal com a inclusão de 178 pacientes, selecionados por amostragem de conveniência do tipo consecutiva. Para a coleta foram utilizados roteiros de entrevista e exame físico. Foi realizado um processo individual de julgamento clínico dos diagnósticos de enfermagem e os resultados obtidos passaram por processo de revisão de forma pareada entre os autores, para maior acurácia. Resultados: Identificaram-se 24 diagnósticos de enfermagem, sendo os mais frequentes: risco de infecção (100%); volume de líquidos excessivo (99,4%); e hipotermia (61,8%). Conclusão: Os diagnósticos mais frequentes identificados estão inseridos nos domínios segurança/proteção e nutrição.

OBJECTIVES: to identify adaptation problems under Roy's Model in patients undergoing hemodialysis and to correlate them with the socioeconomic and clinical aspects. METHOD: a transversal study, undertaken using a questionnaire. The sample was made up of 178 individuals. The Chi-squared and Mann-Whitney U tests were undertaken. RESULTS: the adaptation problems and the socioeconomic and clinical aspects which presented statistical associations were: Hyperkalemia and age; Edema and income; Impairment of a primary sense: touch and income; Role failure and age; Sexual dysfunction and marital status and sex; Impairment of a primary sense: vision and years of education; Intolerance to activity and years of education; Chronic pain and sex and years of education; Impaired skin integrity and age: Hypocalcemia and access; Potential for injury and age and years of education; Nutrition below the organism's requirements and age; Impairment of a primary sense: hearing and sex and kinetic evaluation of urea; Mobility in gait and/or coordination restricted, and months of hemodialysis; and, Loss of ability for self-care, and months of hemodialysis and months of illness. CONCLUSION: adaptation problems in the clientele undergoing hemodialysis can be influenced by socioeconomic/clinical data. These findings contribute to the development of the profession, fostering the nurse's reflection regarding the care.

This study aimed to synthesize the knowledge produced in articles about nursing care for chronic renal patients on hemodialysis. This is an integrative literature review conducted on the databases SCOPUS, CINAHL, PUBMED, LILACS and COCHRANE. The sample consisted of ten articles. Nursing care was categorized and grouped in areas according to NANDA International. The publications occurred between the years 2009 and 2012, prevailing descriptive studies with level VI of evidence. Given the findings, it was identified that nursing care to chronic renal patients is focused on infection prevention, promotion of self-care, guidance to the family and the patient, diet control and the promotion of a comfortable environment. Thus, knowing nursing care provides nurses with subsidies for the development of a specific care plan, targeted on the needs of each individual.

Trata-se de uma revisão bibliográfica que objetivou relacionar as medidas educativas para a promoção da integridade da pele em idosos com as Cartas de Promoção da Saúde. Realizou-se a busca nas bases de dados CINAHL, SCOPUS, LILACS e COCHRANE, nos portais CAPES e BVS e na biblioteca PUBMED, mediante a aplicação dos descritores Health Education; Skin e Aged. Os resultados dos 7 artigos analisados apontaram como principais medidas educativas: inspeção diária da pele, cuidados com calçados e com os pés, uso regular de protetor solar e mudanças de decúbito. Essas medidas estavam relacionadas com as seguintes Cartas de Promoção da Saúde: Ottawa, Declaração de Santafé de Bogotá e Declaração de Jacarta. Conclui-se que as medidas educativas, baseadas nas Cartas, são de grande relevância para a criação de uma cultura de saúde, com enfoque na população e no indivíduo como agentes executores imprescindíveis para o alcance da promoção da saúde.

Estudo transversal, objetivando identificar os componentes do modelo teórico de Roy em pacientes submetidos à hemodiálise em um centro de diálise. Participaram 178 pacientes de um centro dialítico no Nordeste do Brasil. A coleta de dados ocorreu de outubro/2011 a fevereiro/2012, por entrevista e exame físico. Os componentes identificados foram: problemas adaptativos, comportamentos e estímulos. Os principais problemas adaptativos foram: retenção de líquido intracelular, hipercalemia, hipotermia, edema, intolerância à atividade. Os comportamentos foram: anúria, desequilíbrio hidroeletrolítico, aumento de peso em curto período, aumento do potássio sérico, temperatura corporal abaixo de 36°C, retenção de líquidos, fadiga, dificuldade em realizar atividades de vida diária. Os estímulos foram: lesão renal, circulação extracorpórea, hemodiálise, não seguimento da restrição hídrica, distúrbio eletrolítico, ambiente frio, efeitos adversos relacionados ao tratamento. Conclui-se que a identificação desses componentes, enquadrados no modo fisiológico, contribui para o planejamento de intervenções de enfermagem específicas e voltadas para a adaptação da clientela.

Objective: To identify the adaptive problems of the psychosocial mode of the Roy model in chronic kidney patients on hemodialysis. Methods: Cross-sectional study with 178 patients from a dialysis center in the northeast of Brazil. Results: Three adaptive problems were identified, two of the self-concept: sexual dysfunction and low self-esteem; and one of the paper performance mode: paper failure. CONCLUSIONS: Adaptive flaws in the role, sexual dysfunction and low self-esteem refer to the presence of a conical disease and an invasive treatment, since these conditions directly affect the individual's lifestyle

The results suggest an opportunity for improved nursing intervention in this community.

Aim:To identify the defining characteristics in patients receiving immediate post-operatory care after prostatectomy.Method: This is a quantitative, transversal and descriptive study performed on 50 patients during the immediate post-operatory care after prostatectomy in a College hospital of a city located in the northeast region of Brazil.Results: 50 defining characteristics were found related especially to the physiological and security needs of the patient, such as problems regarding ambulation, self-care, pain, sight, hearing, sleeping, understanding and intestinal patterns. Of the total, 15 characteristics were present in all patients. Discussion:The defining characteristics found in all patients were linked to ambulation and self-care. These elements emphasize the limitations of the patients to perform daily tasks independently. Conclusion:The defining characteristics found are important hints to help nursing diagnoses. Based on priority diagnosis, it is possible to plan and implement systematized nursing assistance.
