In the mechanized harvest, the quality of the basal cut becomes one of the most important factors because it is associated with sprouting of the cane field. The objective of this work was to evaluate the influence of speed at cutting height and damage to the rootstock in function of mechanized harvesting of sugarcane. The variety used was CTC 15, with an average yield of 92.5 t ha-1. The mechanized harvest was conducted without previous burning of the cane field, in an area with a slope of 6% and a spacing of 1.5 meters between rows of planting. Three speeds were selected for movement of the harvester: V1: 3.0, V2: 5.0 and V3: 7.0 km h-1, performed with four replications. The evaluation of the quality of the mechanized harvest in relation to the basal cut was determined with the evaluation of the remaining stumps and the damages caused to rootstocks after the passage of the harvester. The height of cut was measured with a tape measure. For the damages to rootstocks, the chi-square test was applied. The cut height measurements were submitted to ANOVA and the averages were analyzed by Tukey test at 5% probability. The results showed that increase in speed during the operation of mechanized harvesting of sugarcane increased the average height of cut in evaluated treatments, as well as the damages to rootstocks which was higher according to the increase in the speed of the harvester. The increase in the speed of displacement of the sugarcane harvester influenced the height of the cut and the damage to the rootstock.
MECHANIC VIBRATION IN A FARM TRACTOR TESTED ON A STANDARDIZED TRACK ABSTRACT: One of the main variables that affect the productive performance of agricultural tractors operators and can cause serious health problems is the vibration generated during operation. This study aimed to evaluate the vibration that comes over the entire body of the operator through the seat of a tractor by standardized test vibration track. A tractor of 92 kW of power was used in four conditions of ballasting: fully ballasted, using only solid ballast, liquid ballast and completely ballasts in four travel speeds, 1.19 m s -1; 1.47 m s-1; 1.75 ms-1 and 2.08 ms-1 with inflation pressures in the front and rear axles of 137.85 kPa to 165.47 kPa respectively. A three-axis accelerometer (x, y, and z) was fixed to the tractor seat to evaluate the effect of vibration on the body of the operator. The request was made with the HVM unit - 100 and BLAZE® software 6.1.1, which obtained the average resultant acceleration parameters, vibration dose value, crest factor and dose projection for 8 hours of work. Analysis of variance and average separation were performed for all analyzed components. All statistical analyzes were performed using the Tukey test at 5% probability (p <0.05). Tractor smaller travel speeds resulted in the best conditions of comfort, while the highest speeds generated the worst working conditions. Maximum tractor ballasting caused the least harmful conditions to the operator when combined with the smaller tractor travel speeds. The levels and types of ballasting in the V1 speed and the maximum ballasting (L1) in the V2 speed showed vibration doses values below the level of action, while the other treatments generated values above the action level or the uncertainty region, without reaching the exposure limit. At the dosage projection for eight hours of work, all treatments resulted on values above the action level or on the uncertainty region. For both the average resultant acceleration as to the vibration dose value, vibration values caused to the axis y were the main responsible for the behavior of the data.KEYWORDS: Agricultural mechanization; work safety, confort, unsanitary conditions, ergonomics.
Wheel drive torque of an agricultural tractor submitted to traction tests A B S T R A C TThe determination of the torque in wheeled agricultural tractors complements the traction tests and allows the calculation of the distribution of tractive efforts between the axles. The main objective of this research was to determine the torque demand on the driving axles of a tractor with power of 89 kW, seeking to evaluate the torque demanded for the mechanical front wheel drive (MFWD) use, for different gears, and according to the increase of the drawbar pull. Traction tests were performed on concrete tracks, where a torque meter installed on the rear axle of the tractor, dynamometer car, and electronic instrumentation for data acquisition were used. The MFWD on and off, four gears (5, 7, 8 and 9 km h -1 ) and eight loads on the drawbar (4, 8, 12, 16, 20, 24, 28, 30 kN) were evaluated. The results statistically analysed using regression equations, showed similar behavior for all gears, and also showed that, when the drawbar pull increased, there was a linear increase in the torque demand on the driving axles. When the traction is on, the torque is higher at the front axle with lowest loads, and the torque is higher at the rear axle with highest loads. Palavras-chave:desempenho eixo motriz força trativa
Sugarcane (Saccharum spp.) stands out as one of the main crops of Brazilian agribusiness. Currently, the crop harvesting process is predominantly mechanized. The objective was to evaluate the losses and impurities in the mechanized harvest of sugarcane as a function of working speed and rotation of the primary extractor. The experiment was conducted in a sugarcane harvested without previous burning, using the variety CTC 15 in its first cutting stage, classified as upright. The row spacing was 1.5 m and the average crop yield was 92.5 Mg ha -1 . A single-row harvester was used, operating at three working speeds, being V1 (3.0 km h -1 ), V2 (5.0 km h -1 ) and V3 (7.0 km h -1 ). Two rotations of the primary extractor were used, R1 (700 rpm) and R2 (1000 rpm). In the experiment, the loss of raw material and the vegetable impurities were evaluated shortly after the harvester went through the experimental area. With the highest rotation of the primary extractor, there were average levels of vegetable impurities (4 to 6%), and with the lowest rotation, there were high levels (> 7%). Levels for plant losses were low (< 2.5%) for all evaluated treatments.Additional keywords: evaluation; mechanization; performance; quality.
