Game is an entertainment facility that contains games using electronic devices which involve players who make decisions through control of game objects for certain purposes, known as users. The game growth industry has developed especially in a variety of types of games which include Maze Game, Board Game, Card Game, Battle Card Game, Quiz Game, Puzzle Game, Shooting Game, First Person Shooting (FPS), Side Scrolling Game, Fighting Game , Racing Game, Simulation, Strategy Game, Role Playing Game (RPG), Adventures Game, Sport Game, and Edutainment Game. In Indonesia itself, there are a variety of online games that have sprung up, among the many types of online games that are currently being talked about is the "Among Us" game. In the process of designing and developing the concept of a game, it is very important to get to know the user who is expected to be able to play the designed game. So that it can be seen the user's process in interpreting a game, this can be explored with various approaches, one of which is using reception analysis theory. Reception Study (study of acceptance) is one that develops in cultural studies, which focuses on messages or communication discourses and has implications for audiences. In this study, the game "Among Us" contained a narrative or storyline that was presented as well as a visualization of the character design of this game. The goal to be achieved in this research is to find out the meaning of players towards the Among Us game by using a Reception Study (acceptance study) which will focus on interpretive meanings and experiences of users or game users in interacting with game media.
Penelitian ini membahas tentang penyebaran radikalisme melalui media sosial sebagai tantangan di era globalisasi. Media sosial sebagai platform komunikasi baru di era globalisasi yang memberikan berbagai informasi dan kemudahan akses bagi kelompok gerakan radikal untuk menyebarkan pemahaman dan membentuk opini publik di masyarakat. Maraknya konten radikal melalui media sosial dapat menjadi tantangan bagi negara untuk menciptakan persatuan negara dan meminimalisasi konflik antar saudara kandung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif analitis dan menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data sekunder. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa media sosial dapat menjadi sarana penyebaran konten radikalisme dan mempengaruhi pola pikir dan nilai meskipun hanya melalui ruang privat. Selain itu, untuk menghadapi tantangan globalisasi yang muncul akibat luasnya pengaruh informasi, harus ada optimalisasi peran negara, seperti upaya menerapkan model pemerintahan hibrida dan menerapkan kontrol sosial di masyarakat dalam berkontribusi menjaga kesatuan masyarakat.
This study discusses the comparative quality of democracy in the perspective of gender equality between Indonesia and Thailand. Selection of study subjects based on data ranking global democracy that puts Indonesia and Thailand as a country in Southeast Asia with the quality of democracy is not far adrift. This study uses the theory of political culture for respective internal uniqueness, the quality of democracy, gender theory and comparative politics approach using Mill's Method to analyze focus of research. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive type of analysis through literature study. The unit of analysis in this study focused on the quality of democracy in the perspective of gender equality. The unit of explanation is the comparison the quality of democracy in the perspective of gender equality Indonesia and Thailand are seen from the level of political participation of women in each country. Eachby the period between 2010 to 2014 based on internal changes that occur in both. In addition to historical comparative method is also used to acquire the common traits between the uniqueness of the community and assess long-term social change. Based on the data that has been collected relating to the history and political culture of each country, it can be said that the quality of the implementation of democracy is influenced by the historical background and internal changes. Internal change is increasingly open does not necessarily encourage democratization, it is because of the culture of political force. Eventually important role in the political system as a determinant of the quality of democracy and guarantor of democracy.
The use of social media today is a necessity for millennial actors. Social media is used as a communication medium that provides transmission of value and extensive information flows. This is a necessity in the era of globalization which emphasizes the implementation of information, communication, and technology (ICT). Through social media political goals can also be carried out by using forms of political communication through both language semiotics and image visualization. Through social media can also form a self-image for a political figure. This study uses the theory of semiotics by Pierce, social media theory by Kaplan and Heinlein, and the theory of political communication by Mochtar Pabotinggi. This study uses qualitative methodology with data collection techniques from secondary sources. The results of this study indicate that social media can be used as a form of political communication by Joko Widodo to form images with the use of political semiotics both in writing and visually through video. analyzing language posts and video posts through president Joko Widodos social media in forming a frame of self-image. Shows semiotic analysis of Joko Widodo through social media in YouTube content in the frame of Pierces semiotic theory that the sign used is in the form of a video blog (YouTube vlog account) Joko Widodo, with objects in the form of visuals such as images, colors and graphics and narrative text. While the meaning of interpretation has a difference between each vlog.
The increase in the corona or covid 19 pandemic in Indonesia is no longer something to be taken lightly. With many cases of spread and addition in South Jakarta the most recorded in the Kebayoran Lama area. It is possible that many people still do not understand the importance of the 5M concept as a protocol to break the chain of spreading the virus. This community service is carried out for TKAU children in Ulujami, South Jakarta. This segmentation of the selection of children as a basis for education and understanding the importance of 5M is carried out from an early age. Using the mixing methodnamely, the form of explanation through lectures and drawing practice, the service process went very well. Some forms of understanding about 5M by children by means of adaptive communication such as using language styles that are easy to understand. The form of creativity through drawing activities also plays an important role in building an atmosphere that is not rigid, and even becomes an exciting part of its own. Therefore, with this community service process with an understanding style, children can be understood, reached, and practiced carefully.
