O software Statistical Package for the Social Sciences versão 18.0 subsidiou a análise descritiva e bivariada dos dados.
THE STETHOSCOPE: IS IT AN INSTRUMENT FOR DIAGNOSIS OR FOR MICROBIAL DISSEMINATION?ABSTRACT: The contamination and dissemination capacity of infections by stethoscopes reported in the literature is analyzed. The Virtual Health Library and databases of Medline, Lilacs and SciELO were used during February 2015 for the 2004 -2014 period. The following inclusion criteria were employed: theses and journals in English, Spanish and Portuguese accessed in full text online. Fourteen articles were included where contamination and possible dissemination of microorganisms by stethoscopes were described. The theme requires deeper attention since stethoscopes may be vectors of hospital infections.
Introduction Surgical treatment of hemorrhoidal disease is used in about 5–10% of cases where conservative treatments have not been effective. Objective To learn the surgical techniques used in the treatment of hemorrhoidal disease grades III and IV in the light of literature. Methods This is an exploratory study, with an integrative review of literature published from 2009 to 2015 from databases LILACS, SciELO, MEDLINE, PUBMED and the Portal of CAPES, using the following descriptors: “hemorrhoidectomy” and “hemorrhoids”, in the period from March to May 2015. Results Nineteen articles were selected. In the four more described techniques, the surgical time ranged from 19.58 to 52 min, with relapses from 5%, from 17.5 to 35 min and recurrences of 7.5% to 8.2%, 23–35 min was 20% and 22.5% relapse, 12.5 and 13.2 min, 3.5% of relapses. Conclusion Conventional techniques are still the most commonly performed with a good acceptance on the long-term resolution and low recurrence rate.

Introduction Hemorrhoidal disease afflicts 4.4% of the world population, being the most common anal disorder. Surgical treatment is used for about 5–10% of cases where conservative procedures have not worked. Objective To understand the trajectory and perception of individuals submitted to surgical treatment of hemorrhoidal disease. Methods This is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach, which emphasized Cartography as the main method in the analysis of the results. Data were produced through individual interviews recorded and transcribed in full, from March to June 2015, in a Polyclinic and in a public hospital in the municipality of Montes Claros-MG. Twelve interviews were carried out. Results The results evidenced the existence of processes of subjectivization that, through affectations, cause individuals to demonstrate a transcendent thought, exemplified by the sensation of a self-knowledge of the disease, including correlating it with possible hereditary, behavioral and alimentary causes. There was an escalation in the various levels of health care, standardized by the public system, sometimes revealing a molar thought, preventing the occurrence of an event, reducing power and failing to achieve a plan of immanence with the complete resolution of the problem. The hard lines, evidenced by a delay in obtaining a treatment thanks for fear and shame, favored self-medication, with a worsening of symptoms. Conclusion It was noted that there were obstacles in all levels of the SUS that made it difficult to reach the surgical treatment, but all patients were considered with surgery and with the postoperative period.
