This paper describes the design and evaluation of a 128x1 signal processing readout integrated circuit for LWIR HgCdTe scanning infrared focal plane array applications. Smart readout functions, such as charge skimming and on-focal plane gain non-uniformity corrections, are presented along with empirical results measured with LWIR HgCdTe linear arrays.
This paper describes a high-speed readout scheme for the single-gate charge-injection device (CID) linear array using dc-coupled injection (DCI). In contrast to the conventional readout techniques with ac-coupled injection (ACI), DCI provides better time management in reading out the signal charge. Lower device lag is achieved by the longer injection time facilitated by DCI for a given elemental readout cycle.
This paper describes the factors governing the Performance Efficiency (PE) of Indium Antimonide Charge Injection Devices (CID) arrays. Factors influencing PE in both line and area arrays are considered and compared to experimental results. An important factor relates to the signal charge loss of a dual gate array operating in the charge sharing mode (CSM)
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
