This exploratory descriptive phenomenological research aims to understasnd how an elderly person has an understanding of digital media and experiences when using it through theoretical perspectives, concepts, and indicators of digital literacy. Furthermore, this research also explores how to deal with intergenerational communication that occurs between the elderly and children in the context of parenting in the digital media era. Research shows that the elderly have a fairly good, critical, balanced level of understanding about the positive and negative impacts of the internet for their self and their children. Most of the elderly are able to use digital media in their daily lives to communicate, and some others can use digital media to create content. Yang-Eyang also take action to guide the elderly for apply parenting patterns that are adapted to the world of children to build intimacy. Even so, the elderly also implement several strategies to regulate children's use of digital media that run by Yang-Eyang Community.
This study aims to reveal the learning of Pancasila based on Islam in Aceh. This study used a qualitative approach with a descriptive study method. The subjects of this study were principals and teachers of SDIT Madani Aceh Tenggara, principals, and teachers of SMP 3 Gayo Lues and the people of Central Aceh. The instruments used participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. The data analysis technique used data reduction, data presentation, and verification to draw a conclusion. The validity of the research data was tested by data triangulation techniques. The results of this study showed that Pancasila learning which contains material for fostering religious, nationalist and integrity characters in the nation's children was in line with Islamic studies which provide educative physical and spiritual guidance. The people of Aceh who was identical with Islam were very appropriated to make learning Pancasila as an effort to maintain religious harmony, ethnic and cultural diversity and increase the sense of nationalism in students. Through this research, it is hoped that it will become a prototype in the practice of learning Pancasila based on Islam in other areas.
Background: Insight and activeness to carry out research are things that must be owned by many people, organizations, as well as agencies and institutions, if they want conditions changes to occur in the environment that they want. Research helps to produce better changes with various methods or approaches. The college as the birthplace of reliable researches must be able the entire academic community in it to have insight into research methodology in order to increase community service. Contribution: This research was conducted to explain the implementation of webinar in order to increase the understanding and mastery of the academic community from lectures, students, and the public in general regarding research methodology. Method: The methodology used is qualitative descriptive. Results: The results showed that the holding of the webinar activity "Research Methodology and Scientific Writing" by the Faculty of Communication Sciences, Esa Unggul University, Jakarta had an impact on increasing the participants' insight and understanding regarding research methodology for students and other general participants. In addition, this activity also helps to encourage an increase in the interest of the academic community both from the Faculty of Communication Sciences and not to do community service with a variety of research method approaches needed by field conditions and integration in accordance with communication science.
