Objetivo: Relatar a experiência de acadêmicas de Fisioterapia, Medicina, Enfermagem e Psicologia na realização do projeto de extensão “Cuide-se para Cuidar”, cujo objetivo era promover o autocuidado entre mães de crianças com deficiência. Relato de experiência: Durante 6 semanas, o projeto de extensão “Cuide-se para Cuidar” foi realizado e teve como metodologia rodas de conversa virtuais sobre autocuidado com mães de crianças com deficiência. A fim de promover qualidade de vida dessas mães, foram abordados aspectos sobre saúde mental e física, e assuntos diversos focados no bem-estar dessas mulheres, tais como autoestima, relacionamento conjugal, qualidade de sono e organização da rotina. Considerações finais: Foi possível observar a complexidade biopsicossocial das mães de crianças com deficiência. A extensão universitária possibilitou a compreensão da realidade da rotina, muitas vezes exaustiva, das cuidadoras que dedicam integralmente para o cuidado dessas crianças. O projeto proporcionou, portanto, o protagonismo das mães em seu autocuidado e valorizou sua experiência enquanto sujeitos concretos para a promoção da saúde.
Objetivo: compreender a percepção dos técnicos de enfermagem em relação aos acompanhantes dos pacientes oncológicos em fase terminal.Metodologia: trata-se de uma pesquisa descritivo-exploratória de natureza qualitativa, desenvolvida em um hospital referência para o tratamento do câncer em Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais. A coleta de dados ocorreu entre os meses de setembro e outubro de 2016. Utilizou-se a Análise de Conteúdo fundamentada em Bardin para a avaliação das entrevistas.Resultados: a partir da análise das entrevistas, emergiram duas categorias empíricas: O conviver cotidiano do técnico de enfermagem e o acompanhante do paciente oncológico em fase terminal e Fatores dificultadores da interação da enfermagem com os acompanhantes, focando-se na interação dos profissionais com o acompanhante e os fatores de conflito entre as partes.Conclusão: foi evidenciada a importância do acompanhante pelo técnico de enfermagem nesse processo de terminalidade, na medida em que podem proporcionar segurança e acolhimento ao paciente. No entanto, a ausência de uma comunicação adequada entre os acompanhantes e o profissional foi o fator preponderante na geração de conflitos. A enfermagem requer, por parte da instituição assim como do acompanhante, de espaços nos quais possam expressar suas angústias e anseios, fazendo que esse percurso seja um momento de acolhimento e de criação de vínculos entre os envolvidos.
Métodos: Estudo documental, retrospectivo, de abordagem quantitativa. A amostra consiste em 24 pacientes internados durante o período entre janeiro de 2015 e dezembro de 2019. Resultados: Durante o período do estudo, 1,2% dos pacientes internados na UTI submetidos a inserção de Cateter Venoso Central evoluíram com Infecção de Corrente Sanguínea Relacionada a Cateter Venoso Central. A média de idade foi 67,9 anos, e 54,2% dos pacientes eram do sexo masculino. Em relação aos cateteres, 91,7% eram duplo-lúmen, e 41,7% foram inseridos em veia jugular interna. O setor com maior número de punções foi a UTI (62,5%), e o tempo de permanência médio dos cateteres foi de 11,5 dias. Quanto ao desfecho clínico, 37,5% pacientes evoluíram a óbito relacionado à sepse, 33,3% evoluíram a óbito não relacionado à sepse, 25,0% receberam alta para unidade de internação, e 4,2% evoluiu a óbito causado pela sepse. Considerações finais: Observouse uma amostra pequena e heterogênea. Contudo identificam-se diversas fragilidades e amplas possibilidades de intervenções, ressaltando entre elas, a necessidade iminente de atuação preventiva e a indispensável adesão ao bundles, que contempla medidas centradas na vigilância infecciosa.
Objetivo: Conhecer a percepção das mães de crianças em tratamento oncológico sobre o cuidado humanizado da enfermagem. Método: Estudo qualitativo, exploratório e descritivo, realizado com 16 mães de crianças em tratamento oncológico em uma casa de apoio filantrópica. Foi utilizada a entrevista semiestruturada para coleta das informações e foi empregada a análise de discurso, a partir dos depoimentos das participantes. Resultados: Os resultados trazem uma discrepância em relação à assistência de enfermagem: algumas mães se sentiram completamente acolhidas e apoiadas e, em contrapartida, outras se sentiram desamparadas e desrespeitadas. Conclusão: As mães percebem o cuidado humanizado da enfermagem no acolhimento integral da criança e família para além da doença; a enfermagem contribui na reflexão e reestruturação das ações do cuidado, elevando a qualidade da assistência. ABSTRACTObjective: To know the mothers of children in oncological treatment perception on the humanized nursing care. Method: Qualitative, exploratory and descriptive study, carried out with 16 mothers of children in oncological treatment in a philanthropic support house. The semi-structured interview was used to collect information and the speech analysis was used, from the participants' testimonials. Results: The results bring some discrepancy regarding the nursing care: some mothers felt completely welcomed and supported, however, others felt helpless and disrespected. Diabetes Mellitus, doença crônica, grande problema de saúde pública e responsável pelas principais causas de mortalidade mundial. Tratamento com insulinoterapia que apesar de efetivo, o uso incorreto desencadeia riscos. A falta de conhecimento dos cuidados e habilidades básicas para a administração de insulina favorece descontrole glicêmico. Objetiva-se demonstrar se a execução de ações educativas é capaz de reduzir os erros na administração de insulina para o tratamento do Diabetes Tipo 1 e 2. Estudo com abordagem qualitativa: observação sistemática, realizado com pacientes com diabetes Tipo 1 e 2 de Unidade Básica de Saúde em Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais. Muitos erros cometidos pelos pacientes com diabetes são relacionados ao "mecanicismo" do preparo e aplicação de insulina diária. Ações educativas direcionadas ao paciente com diabetes são importantes devido a sua capacidade de melhorar o impacto da saúde física, mental e emocional do paciente no enfrentamento da doença.
