Nowadays, innovation for teaching aids is an important requirement to ensure the teaching and learning process can run smoothly. Coinciding with the Malaysia Education Blueprint 2013-2025 (Ministry of Education) through the ninth surge of Global Online MOOC can increase computer literacy (3.75), interest (3.78) and student learning styles (3.75) and make the learning process more interesting. In addition, the findings show that the use of the MOOC application can help students in improving the performance and achievement of students in learning and thus can be an alternative to diversifying the teaching and learning process in VC.
Self-compacting concrete (SCC) was first developed in late 80’s inJapan. SCC is well known for its self-consolidation and able to occupy spaces in the formwork without any vibration and become new interesting topic in Construction and Building Materials Research. There were various SCC researches that have been carried out inTurkey,Malaysia,Thailand,Iran,United Kingdom,Algeria, and India. The aim of this review is to summaries the alternative material used in the mix design from 2009 to 2015 through available literature. It hascommon materials such as Limestone Powder (LP), Fly Ash (FA), Silica Fume and Granulated Blast Furnace Slag (GBFS). While there are many alternative or recycled material can be used in producing SCC. This review only focus on waste material fromMarble Powder (MP), Dolomite Powder (DP), Crump Rubber (CR), Recycled Aggregate (RA) and Rise Husk Ash (RHA).Each type of materialshassimilarity effect in fresh and hardened state of SCC. Therefore, this paper will provide significant and useful information to those new to SCC and fellow researchers for future studies on SCC.
The purpose of this study was to identify the visualization of the students, the students' cognitive load, and the teaching style of the teacher while teaching using the augmented reality (AR) teaching kit in the classroom. The population involved 90 Welding Technology students at Vocational College of Batu Pahat. The purposive sampling method was used and involved 30 respondents. The instrument used was a questionnaire to obtain information. Data were collected and analyzed descriptively. Based on the pilot study, the Cronbach Alpha value was 0.94. The results showed that the use of an AR teaching kit was able to enhance students’ visualization and reduced the cognitive load experienced by the students. In addition, teaching and learning are more interesting because of the teaching style of teachers who use theories and practices simultaneously. Furthermore, the use of AR in education can enhance the visualization of students abstractly, which helps them when conducting experiential tests and establishing a safe teaching and learning environment.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
