Abstract: In this article we analyzed the actions of Tomas Thomas, a rural entrepreneur based in Carcarañá Colony during the second half of the nineteenth century. Thus conforming the historical context that gives basis to the archaeological exploration in the ground that he transformed to his domestic, agrarian and industrial installations. For this we studied the investments made since their arrival in Santa Fe lands and pay special attention to the associative strategies that allowed, through a vertical articulation, to have incidence on the entire agro-export productive chain. This investment modality would not have been possible without the territorial and social transformation produced by the colonizer process carried forward by the Central Argentine Land Company (Calco), which was approached to position this immigrant in a context of rapid Agrarian development.
