Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan pengembangan modul digital sebagai bahan ajar biologi untuk siswa kelas XI IPA di MAN 2 Jember Tahun Pelajaran 2019/2020 dan mendeskripsikan kevalidan modul digital sebagai bahan ajar biologi untuk siswa kelas XI IPA di MAN 2 Jember Tahun Pelajaran 2019/2020. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development) dengan pendekatan model ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Tahap pada penelitian ini hanya sampai tahap Development karena keterbatasan kondisi pandemi Covid-19. Sehingga tidak memungkinkan untuk dilakukannya tahap implementasi dan evaluasi. Modul digital yang dikembangkan masih sebatas uji kevalidan produk yang melibatkan lima validator, yaitu dua orang ahli materi, dua orang ahli media, dan satu orang ahli desain pembelajaran. Adapun instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa angket yang kemudian hasil angketnya dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif. Berdasarkan analisis data, hasil validasi dari ahli materi sebesar 97,35%, ahli media sebesar 89%, ahli desain pembelajaran sebesar 80,5%, berdasarkan kriteria validitas yang digunakan bahwa nilai tersebut dikategorikan sangat valid, dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa bahan ajar yang dikembangkan berupa modul digital sangat valid sebagai bahan ajar biologi siswa kelas XI IPA. Abstract This study aims to describe the development of digital modules as biology teaching materials for class XI science students at MAN 2 Jember in the 2019/2020 academic year and to describe the validity of digital modules as biology teaching materials for students in class XI science at MAN 2 Jember in the 2019/2020 academic year. This research is a type of research and development (Research and Development) with the ADDIE model approach (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The stage in this research is only up to the Development stage due to the limited conditions of the Covid-19 pandemic. So it is not possible to carry out the implementation and evaluation stages. The digital module developed is still limited to product validity testing involving five validators, namely two material experts, two media experts, and one learning design expert. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire which was then analyzed quantitatively descriptively. Based on data analysis, the validation results from material experts are 97.35%, media experts are 89%, learning design experts are 80.5%, based on the validity criteria used that the value is categorized as very valid, thus it can be concluded that the teaching materials used developed in the form of a very valid digital module as a biology teaching material for class XI science students.
SMA Darussalam adalah lembaga pendidikan tingkat SLTA yang berada di bawah naungan Pondok Pesantren Darussalam. Dalam proses pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan di SMA tersebut terdapat hambatan yang dialami karena selain mayoritas siswa berasal dari kalangan Pondok Pesantren serta padatnya jadwal dari pondok sendiri tentunya menjadi faktor munculnya hambatan pembelajaran siswa maupun guru disekolah.Untuk mengetahui hambatan-hambatan yang dialami guru maupun siswa Tujuan penelitian adalah mendeskripsikan hambatan-hambatan yang dialami guru maupun siswa dalam pembelajaran biologi di SMA Darussalam. Pendekatan penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus. Teknik pengambilan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara semi terstruktur dan dokumentasi. Analisis data yang dilakukan dengan pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data dan Conclution Drawing. Keabsahan data dilakukan dengan triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi tekhnik. Adapun hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan terdapat beberapa hambatan yang dialami guru biologi di SMA Darussalam diantaranya adalah salah memahami kekuatan kepribadian guru dalam hal kedisiplinan memulai jam pelajaran masih kurang, pandangan pesimis yang dimiliki guru juga tampak, kurangnya media informasi dan terbatasnya sarana dan prasarana yang ada. Adapun hambatan yang dialami siswa diantaranya adalah aspek fisiologis, rendahnya tingkat intelegensi, hambatan dari segi sikap siswa juga terlihat karena siswa sering tidur di kelas dan faktor eksternal yang menghambat siswa juga tampak terlihat dalam aspek lingkungan non sosial khususnya pada lingkungan belajar yang kurang mendukung. Kata kunci: Hambatan Guru, Hambatan Siswa, Pembelajaran Biologi. SMA Darussalam is a high school level educational institution under the auspices of the Darussalam Islamic Boarding School. In the learning process carried out in high school there are obstacles experienced because in addition to the majority of students coming from the Islamic boarding schools and the tight schedule from the boarding school itself, of course it is a factor in the emergence of learning barriers for students and teachers at school. To find out the obstacles experienced by teachers and students. is to describe the obstacles experienced by teachers and students in learning biology at SMA Darussalam. This research approach uses a qualitative approach with the type of case study research. The data collection technique used observation, semi-structured interviews and documentation. Data analysis was performed by data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The validity of the data was done by triangulation of sources and triangulation of techniques. As for the results of the research that has been done, there are several obstacles experienced by biology teachers at SMA Darussalam, including the misunderstanding of the strength of the teacher's personality in terms of discipline in starting class hours is still lacking, the teacher's pessimistic view is also evident, the lack of information media and the limited facilities and infrastructure available. The obstacles experienced by students include physiological aspects, low levels of intelligence, barriers in terms of student attitudes are also seen because students often sleep in class and external factors that hinder students are also seen in non-social environmental aspects, especially in less supportive learning environments. THE RELATIONSHIP OF STUDENTS' UNDERSTANDING LEVEL OF ANIMAL MORPHOLOGY CHARACTERISTICS WITH THE ABILITY TO MEMORIZE ANIMAL LATIN NAMES IN GRADE 10 IPAAbstractAnimal taxonomy subjects often use animal's Latin names. Many students think that this subject is annoying because it is dominated by memorizing animal's Latin names, even though memorizing becomes a prerequisite for understanding. Meanwhile, most of the language materials memorized need an understanding before the memorizing process. This study aimed to find a relationship between the level of students' understanding of an animal's morphological characteristics and the ability to memorize animal's Latin names at the Xth grade of IPA students in SMAN 3 Jember. This study used a quantitative approach with a type of ex post facto. The test obtained the data. Then it was descriptively and inferentially analyzed by Kendall correlation. This research indicated that 56 students who answered test of the level of understanding animal's morphological characteristics and the ability to memorize animal's Latin names resulted in a correlation coefficient of score 0.673, and significance 0,000 < 0.05. Therefore, if the level of students’ understanding of an animal's morphological characteristics increased, the ability to memorize animal's Latin names at the Xth grade of IPA students in SMAN 3 Jember also increased, conversely. Banyak siswa beranggapan bahwa materi tersebut membosankan karena didominasi oleh menghafal nama latin hewan, padahal menghafal menjadi prasyarat pemahaman. Sementara itu, sebagian besar materi bahasa yang dihafal membutuhkan pemahaman sebelum proses menghafal berlangsung. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah mengetahui hubungan tingkat pemahaman karakteristik morfologi hewan dengan kemampuan menghafal nama latin hewan pada siswa kelas X IPA SMA Negeri 3 Jember. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis eks post facto. Data didapatkan menggunakan instrumen tes. Kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif dan inferensial menggunakan korelasi Kendall. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dari 56 siswa yang menjawab tes tingkat pemahaman karakteristik morfologi hewan dan kemampuan menghafal nama latin hewan menghasilkan koefisien korelasi 0,673 dan signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05. Dengan demikian, jika tingkat pemahaman karakteristik morfologi hewan meningkat, kemampuan menghafal nama latin hewan pada siswa kelas X IPA SMA Negeri 3 Jember juga meningkat, begitupula sebaliknya.
