Academic burnout can cause exhaustion, frustration, lack of motivation and reduced academic ability in school. This research aims to develop an academic burnout scale with the Rasch model approach. The convenience sampling method was applied in taking samples, which involved 576 high school students. The research instrument used was the academic burnout scale. The analysis technique applied the Rasch model with the Winstep programme. The results of this research show that the developed academic burnout scale indicates better validity and reliability, and so it complies with the psychometric principles of psychology assessment instrument development. The research findings can be utilised as the instruments for student academic burnout assessment. Further experiments involving diverse subjects are necessary to improve the quality of the academic burnout scale’s items. Career decision-making of vocational high school students is still something that does not receive serious attention and causes students to experience career decision difficulties. One of the causes of difficulty in making career decisions is students' lack of confidence in their abilities. This study aims to develop a guidebook for rational emotive behavior counseling (REBC) which is intended for school counselors. REBC counseling can help counselees to understand their cognitive conditions that lead to emotional disturbances so that counselees can change irrational thoughts and understand the consequences of their behavior. The guidebook that was developed contains material on career self-efficacy, REBC counseling, and procedures for implementing REBC counseling in six stages of counseling sessions. This development research uses research and development methods from Borg and Gall with research procedures that have been adapted to the conditions of the research field. The guidebook validity test was carried out by one expert who tested the material, one media expert, and two school counselors as potential users by taking into account the accuracy assessment, usability assessment, convenience assessment, and attractiveness assessment. The results of the material and media expert test were analyzed using the average, while the results of the prospective user test were analyzed using the inter-rater agreement. The test results show that the guidebook gets a high score and it can be concluded that the REBC counseling guide that has been developed is suitable for use by school counselors in implementing REBC in order to increase the career self-efficacy of vocational high school students.Abstrak: Pengambilan keputusan karier siswa sekolah menengah kejuruan masih menjadi suatu hal yang kurang mendapat perhatian serius dan menyebabkan siswa mengalami kesulitan keputusan karier. Salah satu penyebab kesulitan mengambil keputusan karier adalah ketidakyakinan siswa terhadap kemampuan yang dimiliki. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan sebuah buku panduan konseling rational emotive behavior counseling (REBC) yang diperuntukan bagi konselor sekolah. Konseling REBC dapat membantu konseli untuk memahami kondisi kognitifnya yang mengakibatkan gangguan emosional, sehingga konseli dapat merubah pikiran irasional dan memahami konsekuensi dari tingkah lakunya. Buku panduan yang dikembangkan panduan berisi tentang materi efikasi diri karier, konseling REBC, dan prosedur penerapan konseling REBC sebanyak enam tahap sesi konseling. Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan metode research and development dari Borg dan Gall dengan prosedur penelitian yang telah disesuaikan dengan kondisi lapangan penelitian. Uji validitas buku panduan dilakukan oleh satu ahli yang menguji materi, satu ahli media, dan dua konselor sekolah sebagai calon pengguna dengan memperhatikan penilaian ketepatan, penilaian kegunaan, penilaian kemudahan, dan penilaian kemenarikan. Hasil uji ahli materi dan media dianalisis menggunakan rerata, sedangkan hasil uji calon pengguna dianalisis menggunakan inter-rater agreement. Hasil uji menunjukkan buku panduan memperoleh nilai yang tinggi dan dapat disimpulkan bahwa panduan konseling REBC yang telah dikembangkan sesuai untuk digunakan konselor sekolah dalam melaksanakan REBC guna meningkatkan efikasi diri karier siswa sekolah menengah kejuruan..
Psychological well-being is an important aspect for students that needs to be considered in the current situation, which in fact many are faced with academic burnout. This research was conducted with the aim of knowing the relationship between psychological well-being and student academic burnout. The research design used is correlation, with a research sample of 180 students. The sampling technique used is proportional random sampling. Collecting data using psychological well-being scale and academic burnout scale. The data analysis technique used is Pearson's product moment. The results showed that psychological well-being has a negative relationship with academic burnout. This means that the higher the psychological well-being of students, the lower their academic burnout. These findings can be used as a basis for universities to provide mental health services needed by students and lecturers needed to assist students in providing guidance and counseling services. Abstrak: Kesejahteraan psikologis merupakan salah satu aspek penting bagi mahasiswa yang perlu diperhatikan ketika mereka menghadapi situasi yang kurang menguntungkan, salah satunya kejenuhan akademik. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kesejahteraan psikologis dengan kejenuhan akademik mahasiswa. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan korelasi, dengan sampel penelitian sebanyak 180 mahasiswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan proportional random sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan skala kesejahteraan psikologis dan skala kejenuhan akademik. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah pearson product moment. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesejahteraan psikologis memiliki hubungan negatif dengan kejenuhan akademik. Artinya semakin tinggi kesejahteraan psikologis mahasiswa, maka semakin rendah kejenuhan akademiknya. Temuan ini dapat menjadi pijakan bagi perguruan tinggi untuk memberikan layanan kesehatan mental yang dibutuhkan mahasiswa dan dosen konselor yang dibutuhkan untuk membantu mahasiswa dalam memberikan layanan bimbingan dan konseling.
Self-help has become an interesting issue lately and is an alternative intervention that is of interest to individuals to help mental health problems experienced. Various models of self-help guides are available and can be accessed by individuals, including through the internet and social media. The purpose of this study was to determine the effective form of self-help for individuals who experience mental health problems. The research method used is literature review and as many as 8 of the 86 articles reviewed during the last two years. The articles that have been obtained were analyzed and synthesized using content analysis techniques to obtain an overview of self-help guidelines. The results showed that self-help guides were effective for individuals, including training materials, intervention practices, and manuals for helpers or therapists who support counselees to practice the guidelines.
