This study is aimed at investigating the rhetorical structure of Introduction chapters of English master theses written by Indonesian postgraduate students and identifying the frequency of communicative moves and their constituent steps as well as finding how the students justify their research projects reported in their Introduction chapters. The research design was mixed method research combining quantitative and qualitative method. Twenty Introduction chapters of English master theses were taken from two different fields; English language education and applied linguistics, and they were analyzed using checklists. The results: (1) three moves and fifteen steps are found in the introduction chapters of master theses and three newly identified steps other than those specified in Bunton’s are also found in the corpus of this study and (2) three moves are considered obligatory moves, seven steps are classified as obligatory, four Steps are conventional and seven Steps are optional. Further, the majority of Indonesian postgraduate students tend to rhetorically justify their research project based on the knowledge gap found in the literature. This study concludes that the move and step model suggested by Bunton (2002) and modified from Swales’ CARS is effective enough to capture the possible rhetorical structure of introduction chapter of master thesis written by Indonesian postgraduate students. How to Cite: Pujiyanti, I. The title of this paper research result is “The Passive Cooling Alternatif Technique Which Is Efficient In Auditorium Room ‘Aisyiyah Yogyakarta University. The problem which is going to be discussed in this final assignment research is to find the passive cooling technique which is applicable and effective to thermal comfort aspect for auditorium room ‘Aisyiyah Yogyakarta University. The goal which is going to be achieved in this final assignment is to know the passive cooling technique which is applicableand effective to thermal comfort aspect for auditorium room ‘Aisyiyah Yogyakarta University. The research method is conducted by direct observation on sample. Then the research model is made according to observation result. Then, the research model was tested by ecotect software to measure the temperature made by each model. The data got from the measurement were analyzed for thermal quality.Based on the analysis result, it is known that temperature in auditorium room ‘Aisyiyah Yogyakarta University until 30 celcius and that is not recommendation for comfortable room. Passive cooling techniques which are applicable for auditorium room ‘Aisyiyah Yogyakarta University are ventilative cooling and mass effect cooling (single banked room). It is also known that the effective passive cooling technique is mix-ventilation type with ratio ventilation more than 1:6,79. It is also known that there is a relation between room volume percentages which is passed by air stream with its air temperature in the room. Keywords: passive cooling technique, applicable, effective, auditorium room, UNISA

The final results of this study describe the impact of changes in building functions on the facade typology in Kampung Prawirotaman. These results can be used for reference and consideration in the character and visual development of Kampung Prawirotaman. Kampung Prawirotaman is one of the tourism destination in Yogyakarta. Through a long history, Kampung Prawirotaman which is known as a batik village has been transformed into a tourism village. This area is supported by infrastructure and strategic locations. This area is close to the city center and the other tourist destinantions. Kampung Prawirotaman had an architectural heritage that form of the visual characters from the adaptation of traditional and "indis" architecture. Now, the community develop the tourism facilities as independently and spontaneously in this area. The tourism facilities has resulted in changes the various building facade elements in Kampung Prawiotaman. The research used descriptive qualitative method with architectural typology approach.

In the past, humans used nature as building inspiration. Natural inspiration is translated into buildings through a trial and error process that is practically in the field to find the ideal shape that suits the natural conditions. Currently, the use of natural inspiration as an idea for the form of biomimetic architectural buildings is increasingly facilitated by increasingly sophisticated technological developments. One of the technologies currently used by biomimetic architects in designing is using computational equipment. Architects use computing equipment in the form of digital technology to facilitate the translation of design ideas, which is related to the translation of natural inspiration into building forms. Grasshopper+Rhino software is one of the software used to translate natural inspiration that has a dynamic form into a detailed model design. However in the world this software used widely for academic needs to translate natural inspiration into building designs, but in Indonesia used others software to implemented natural inspiration into technologies. So, the purpose of this paper is to determine how far the gap in the use of Grasshopper+Rhino software in Indonesia for biomimetic architecture education. The method used is descriptive quantitative by counting the design case samples using Grasshopper+Rhino software. The results show that 97% of cases in Indonesia use other software to design building technology inspired by nature. This shows that the gap between Indonesia compared to other countries about Science and Technology of Biomimetic Architecture Education.
