Many teachers experience difficulties in starting an instruction and in how to make the students learn appropriately. Meanwhile, the teacher has to make the students learn in order the teaching conforms to the four pillars of education according to UNESCO, i.e.: learning to know, learning to do, learning to be, and learning to live together in peace and harmony. In relation to this, a study was conducted to the students of primary schools in Singaraja to see the effectiveness of BLCS model (Bruner, Local Culture, and Scaffolding) in the teaching of mathematics through a measurement using Expert System -based CSE-UCLA. The effectiveness of the teaching model was seen from learning activities, learning achievement, and the students" response to the teaching. Data were collected through observation, test and questionnaire and were then analyzed descriptively. The results show that BLCS model is an effective model to be used in the teaching of mathematics.
AbstractThe objective of this research is to develop the peripheral of plane geometry course such as multi representation students worksheet assisted by Geogebra which is expected to increase students' critical thinking skills. The development of this peripheral study were conducted by using the 4 D model of Thiagarajan, Semmel and Semmel. The test of the peripheral was done by involving 34 students of class B of Mathematic Education Department, Faculty of Mathematics and Science, Ganesha University of Education who attending the plane geometry course in the second semester of academic year 2011/2012. The results showed that the peripheral that had been developed to meet the Nieveen's requirements of product quality such that valid, practical and effective and can increase students' critical thinking ability.
Abstract-The development of information technology is able to solve problems in various areas of life, including education. Some examples of the application of information technology in education, among others: e-learning, e-library, e-module, blended learning, and more. One school in Bali that also apply information technology in the learning process, namely SMK TI Udayana. Application forms of information technology in the learning process at SMK TI Udayana have the shape of utilization of blended learning. There are several platforms options can be used for blended learning in the learning process at SMK TI Udayana, including: Edmodo, Quipper School, Moodle, Kelase, and others. Facts show that the number of platforms that can be used for blended learning, sometimes making teachers and students get confused to choose the most suitable, especially in the process of mathematics and ICT learning at SMK TI Udayana. Based on these problems, then created of the decision support system to be able to choose a blended learning platforms that is suitable for mathematics and ICT learning at SMK TI Udayana. The methods used in this decision support system is weighted product, because it can determine blended learning platforms for mathematics and ICT learning based on the highest value obtained from the calculation of several criteria.
Until now, no research explicitly examines the academic impact on public junior high school students in Singaraja City. The actual condition of the academic impact of online mathematics learning is necessary to be revealed immediately. This information can be used as a basis for teachers designing and implementing mathematics learning to minimize or eliminate the negative impact of online learning. This study involved 507 public junior high school students distributed over four public schools in Singaraja City as the sample. This study used a questionnaire instrument consisting of 14 items, and the data were tabulated based on the responses entered on the google form. The study results showed that students experienced several academic impacts as a result of online learning of mathematics. The academic impacts that students most felt among others: the amount of mathematics material was hard to understand, students doubted the accountability of the grade obtained by their friends, decreased enthusiasm for learning, and students felt that their academic abilities were e not optimal. The conclusion obtained from this study is that online mathematics learning during COVID-19 had an academic impact on public junior high school students in Singaraja City.
This research was conducted to know the effect of organizational culture, work motivation, work discipline, and work ethic on the performance of the Widyaiswara human resource development agency of Bali province. This research includes ex post facto research in the form of correlation because the independent variables are not controlled directly, do not exist before, and are not manipulated. The entire population of the Widyaiswara of the Bali Province Human Resources Development Agency became the research sample. The sampling technique used is the census method, which uses the entire population as the research sample. All data were collected using a questionnaire technique with likert scale. The analysis process in this research is assisted by using SPSS 24.0 for Windows. The results of the study indicate that there is a significant influence between organizational culture, work motivation, work discipline, and work ethic on the performance of the Widyaiswara human resource development agency in the province of Bali. So it is very important to develop these four variables to support teacher performance.
The principal objective of this study was to introduce the existence on development of Countenance evaluation application that can be used to evaluate the moral and quality of students’ computer knowledge by using evaluation indicators which oriented to combining between ANEKA values with the Tri Hita Karana concept. This research was developed by using the Borg & Gall method, which focuses on the stages of creating a mobile web-based evaluation application, field trial stage, and revision stage of field trial results. The subjects involved in creating the application as much as three peoples, subjects involved in the field trial as much as 94 peoples, and subjects involved in the revision of field trial as much as three peoples. The instruments that were used in conducting the assessment on the field trial was in questionnaires form. The technique that was used to analyze the collected data from field trials results using quantitative descriptive techniques by determining the average of percentage from application quality that was compared to a standard score of application quality that refers to eleven’s scale. The study results showed that the quality of the evaluation application belongs to a very good category, so it was ready to be implemented, and it is no need to be done the major revision.
