Increased Rice Crop Productivity Through Compost and NPK Fertilization. The aims of this research was to study response of compost and NPK fertilizers to the soil chemical properties and rice yield. The method used was a factorial Randomized Block Design consisting of two factors. The first factor was compost Fertilizer (B) consists of 2 levels, namely: B0 = Without compost fertilizer and B1 = 5 ton compost fertilizer ha-1. The second factors was NPK national recomendation (P) consists of 3 levels, namely: P1 = 50% of NPK recommendation, P2 = 100% of NPK recommendation and P3 = 150% of NPK recommendation. The results showed that the treatment of compost and NPK fertilizers gave no significant effect on tillers number clumb-1 and dry straw weight/m2 , but gave a significant effect on N, P, K and dry grain weight/m2. The combination of 5 tons of compost/ha and 150% of NPK recommendation can produce N-total, P-available level, K-available and dry grain weight per m2 respectively 0.35%, 13.79 ppm, 355, 21 ppm and 0.96 kg and significantly higher than the combination of 50% NPK recommendation and without compost, which were 0.26%, 8.21 ppm, 236.10 ppm and 0.69 kg respectively.
This research aims to discover the data of land characteristic/quality, land suitability, limited factor, and improvement effort, directives of use and map of suitability for horticultural crops. The crops that are evaluated include red chili, onions, garlic, oranges, and apples. The selection of commodities is based on fluctuating production data, them are superior plant, and has a good market price. This research was conducted in November 2017 until January 2018 in Sembalun Lawang Village and Sembalun Bumbung Village, Sembalun Sub-district East Lombok Regency. Soil analysis was conducted in Soil Laboratory of Agriculture Faculty of Udayana Universit. It was analyzed using GIS modelling. Obtained six units homogeneous of land based on the result overlapped type of soil, land used and slopes, that is SBAISw, SBAIITg, SBAIVTg, SLHISw, SLHIITg, and SLHIVTg. The Land suitability assessment based on criteria requirements grew from Ritung et al., matchs with land characteristic/quality [1]. The result showed that the actual suitability class of land for horticultural crops was appropriate (S2) until they were not appropriate (N). Limited factors in the research area among others temperaturee (tc), rainfall (wa1), long dry months (wa), drainage (oa), textures (rc1), CEC (nr1), N-Total (na1), P2O5 (na2), slopes (eh1), and the dangers of erosion (eh2). Improvement of land suitability class can be done with improvement effort except temperaturee, long dry months and texture because they are permanent divider. Giving organic materials can improve soil physical and chemical properties. Slopes and the dangers of erosion can be improved by conservation tehcniques such as terracing. Class of potential land suitability was appropriate (S2) until they were marginal appropriate (S3). Land use of recommendations on SBAISw, SLHISw, and SBAIITg land are red chilli, garlic, and onion. SLHIITg, SBAIVTg, and SLHIVTg recommended for red chili, orange and apple crops based on agro-ecosystem, agroeconomic, and field observation.
Petani Desa Buahan, Kabupaten Gianyar menghadapi permasalahan adanya serangan hama dan penyakit terhadap tanaman jeruk yang menyebabkan produktivitasnya sangat merosot. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah mengadakan penyuluhan dan demoplot teknologi pengendalian hama dan penyakit tanaman jeruk. Metode yang digunakan terdiri atas : 1) Penyuluhan dengan materi pengenalan sumber hama dan penyakit tanaman, 2) Demoplot teknik penanggulangan hama dan penyakit tanaman jeruk. 3) Pendampingan secara insedental dan berkala. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan penanggulangan hama dan penyakit tanaman jeruk dapat berjalan dengan baik berdasarkan rataan partisipasi mitra pada seluruh sub kegiatan sebesar 76,48 %. Rataan tersebut terdiri dari partisipasi kehadiran anggota subak Abian 75 % dan 30,91 % dari peserta yang hadir menyampaikan pendapat. Evaluasi adopsi Ipteks, ternyata 100 % peserta telah memahami Ipteks yang disuluhkan dan ikut berpartisipasi pada kegiatan demoplot pengecatan batang pohon dan pembungkusan buah jeruk yang terserang. Desa Buahan berdasarkan RPJM Kabupaten Gianyar ditetapkan sebagai kawasan Agropolitan yang terintegrasi dengan pariwisata. Pertanian organik perlu dikembangkan karena wisatawan yang datang telah terbiasa mengkonsumsi pangan organik di negaranya kemudian pangan organik menjadi tuntutan primer bagi mereka ketika berwisata. Berdasarkan hal tersebut dilakukan pengembangan padi organik di Desa Buahan dengan langkah operasional sebagai berikut : 1) Koordinasi dengan kepada desa dan kelian subak Tirta Jati Majangan, 2) Pelatihan alih teknologi dan demoplot penerapan prosedur operasional padi organik. 3) Pendampingan secara insedental dan berkala. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan kegiatan berjalan baik dan lancar dengan partisifasi mitra terdiri dari kehadiran anggota subak 72 %, pemahaman/adopsi Ipteks 89 % , partisifasi kegiatan dan produk Ipteks 100 %. Demoplot menghasilkan berat gabah kering oven paling rendah terdapat pada penggunaan pupuk organik yaitu 5.45 t/ha, dan tertinggi pada menggunakan kombinasi pupuk organik dan anorganik yaitu 6.78 t/ha.
Kegiatan Ipteks bagi Wilayah (IbW) Desa Tangguntiti dan Tegalmengkeb, Kecamatan Selemadeg Timur, Kabupaten Tabanan, bertujuan untuk : pengembangan potensi wilayah mengacu RPJM berbasis Ipteks dengan mensinergikan kepakaran perguruan tinggi dan sumberdaya pemerintah daerah serta masyarakat. Luaran yang dihasilkan antara lain : (1) Produk beras sehat (padi organik); (2) badan usaha milik desa (BUMDes); (3) ayam keperluan ritual; (4) pakan silase dan pupuk organik; (5) Jaja tradisional keperluan ritual sebagai produk komersial; (6) Laporan dan publikasi jurnal. Kegiatan meliputi : (1) Alih teknologi cara budidaya padi organik dengan metode System of Rice Intensification (SRI), penanganan panen dan pasca panen (packaging) serta jalinan pemasaran beras sehat dengan BUMD Kabupaten Tabanan; (2) Transfer teknologi fermentasi dalam pembuatan pakan dari limbah pertanian (jerami) untuk persediaan pakan sapi pada musim kemarau, dan pengolahan kotoran dan urine sapi menjadi pupuk organik; (3) Pengembangan ternak ayam buras secara intensif (kandang) dan transfer teknologi breeding untuk menghasilkan ayam upakara (keperluan ritual Hindu Bali); (4) Pengembangan BUMDes sebagai lembaga ekonomi masyarakat melalui peningkatan mutu SDM dan pembentukan unit retail (agromart) yang memasarkan produk masyarakat dan IRT/KUBE; (5) Pengembangan IRT/KUBE pengolahan hasil pertanian (padi dan palawija) menjadi jajan upakara (keperluan ritual Hindu Bali) komersial; dan Publikasi hasil aplikasi Ipteks bagi wilayah melalui seminar, artikel proseding, dan jurnal ilmiah.
