Indonesia as a diverse tribe country has a distinctive cultural value, including the cultures of Madura, Samin and Tengger in East Java. These cultural values form a system of meaning of life for the people of Madura, Samin and Tengger, including students with a Madurese, Samin or Tengger cultural background. Counseling with Madura culture modeling techniques can be an alternative in an effort to increase the meaning of life of students. This is due to the suitability of modeling techniques with the cultural values of Madura, Samin and Tengger which have significant others with great influence. Thus, modeling of significant others with the influence of magnitude on the cultivation of cultural values of Madura, Samin or Tengger becomes in line with efforts to increase the meaning of life of students based on the cultural value of Madura, Samin or Tengger.
The cultural encounters of counselors-counselees have great influence to the success of counseling services. Counseling services in Indonesia still use western theory, have not considered the value of eastern culture. One of the study of Indonesian culture, especially East Java contains uniqueness in presenting the process of counseling aid. East Java has seven ethnics namely Osing, Tengger, Madura, Java, Samin, Materaman, and Bawean. The study of the seven East Java ethnics will give birth to a new paradigm of eastern cultural counseling-local wisdom. The positive impact of counseling services cultural-based has strategic value: building internal and external counseling service imaging, facilitating counselors while serving counselees with culture diversity with appropriate change techniques, and Cognitive-Behavioral Counseling based on local wisdom becomes new counseling paradigms in Indonesia especially in East Java. CognitiveBehavioral Counseling framework is a form of counseling that incorporates the principles and procedures of Cognitive counseling and Behavioral counseling in an effort to help the counselee in achieving expected behavioral changes.
Assessment activities in guidance and counselling are fundamental activities essential for students' self-understanding and became the need assessment for guidance and counselling programs. In this new normal era, students' academic life experiences turmoil that can trigger various problems. This study aims to develop online psychological assessment skills training for guidance and counselling teachers. The research method used is conceptual development research with the 4D development steps (Define Focus, Design and Development Focus, and Dissemination Focus). The study results explain (1) the model of online psychological assessment skills training procedure based on the reflective-discussion and experiential learning, and (2) the construct of online psychological assessment media based on the Google platform. Reflective-discussion activities and experiential learning provide direct experience in training to improve online psychological assessment skills. The multi-use of the various platform in google makes the online assessment structured and systematic so that it can provide confidentiality, analysis, and report processing automatically. The Google Platforms could be used for free, simple but give comprehensive integrations. The product still needs to be tested and validated practically of its effectiveness in improving the online psychological assessment skills of high school guidance and counselling teachers.
