In the face of adverse and traumatic events throughout their lives, individuals respond in different ways depending on their degree of resilience, factors of which include their individual resources for coping with those events. This study examined the predictive role of emotional self-efficacy and interpersonal sensitivity on psychological resilience among young adults in order to gain insights into psychological resilience and its protective factors. In particular, its purpose was to examine how perceiving emotions of the self and others, using emotions to facilitate thought, regulating emotions in the self and others, interpersonal awareness, need for approval, separation anxiety, timidity, fragile inner self, and understanding emotions, the emotional self, and others affect perceptions of the future, structural style, social competence, family cohesion, and social resources.
In many middle-class families in Turkey, mothers typically occupy a mediator role in fatherchild communications, meaning that messages between fathers and children (particularly regarding an important subject) are sent through mothers. This phenomenological study investigates Turkish fatherchild communication dynamics, the roles of mothers in this relationship, and the effects of mothers acting as mediators in communications between father and child.Research Methods: This study used Interpretative Phenomenological Analyses to reveal the essence of the relationship of participants with their fathers and their shared experiences regarding the reflection of the mother's role in the father-child relationship and common meanings that have been established. Öz. Son yıllarda nitel araştırmalar sosyal bilimler alanında giderek önem kazanmıştır. Birçok araştırmacı odağını nitel araştırmalara yönelterek çalışmak istedikleri olgulara dair derin ve özgün anlamlar keşfetme arayışı içine girmiştir. Ancak nicel araştırmalar geleneğinden gelen ve alandaki yeni araştırmacılar için nitel araştırma aşamaları ve özellikle analiz süreci birçok belirsizliği barındırır. Oysaki nitel araştırma yapmak isteyen araştırmacıların, veri analizinde titizlikle takip etmesi ve onlara yol göstermesi gereken birçok adım mevcuttur. Bunlar nitel veri analizinin bilimsel bir çerçeveye oturmasına ve araştırılan olgunun kendi öznel gerçekliğine daha yakın bir anlam üretmesine olanak sağlar. Bu çalışmada tüm nitel araştırma desenleri için geçerli olan veri analiz adımlarına, bu adımlarda takip edilmesi gereken temel ilkelere yer verilerek bir nitel veri analiz sürecinin nasıl gerçekleştirilebileceğine dair bir çerçeve oluşturulması amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaç kapsamında nitel veri analizinin tanımına, amacına, analiz adımlarına, verilerin organize edilme basamaklarına, kategoriler oluşturma sürecine, bulguların yorumlanmasına ve araştırmacının nitel veri analizindeki rolüne yer verilmiştir.
Psikoterapi hizmetinden yararlanmak isteyen pek çok kişi yoğun düzeyde korku, kaygı, umutsuzluk, utanç, suçluluk, öfke, üzüntü ve şok gibi duyguların yarattığı sıkışmışlıkla mücadele etmektedirler. Geleneksel psikoterapi yaklaşımları genellikle odaklarını ya duygusal boşalıma ya da düşünce ve davranışları yeniden mantıksal bir çerçevede düzenleyerek duyguları kontrol altına almaya çalışmaktadır. Duygu odaklı terapi ise odağını duygular üzerinden yoğunlaştırarak duyguları terapötik malzeme olarak kullanma imkan sağlar. Bu çalışmada duygu odaklı terapinin amaçları, temel kavramları, bir terapötik bir yaklaşım olarak kullanımı, terapötik hedefleri ve kullandığı teknikler tanıtılarak alan uygulayıcılarına ve danışmanların kullanıma sunulması hedeflenmiştir.
