This study aims to describe the effectiveness of developing big book media based on local wisdom on early reading learning in first grade elementary school students. This study uses a literature review method that focuses on the use of literature in similar research journals using a Research and Development (R&D) approach. Based on the literature review, the results obtained in the form of the conclusion that any research using the big book media shows the effectiveness of the media when used in early reading learning for students in lower grades. Bigbook media makes learning closer to students, fun and meaningful. This media is in accordance with the characteristics and needs of first grade elementary school students and improves reading skills in students as evidenced by the positive response in student learning outcomes in understanding information
The low interest in reading students in Indonesia is also in line with the low interest in writing. Interest in reading and writing is actually the foundation for someone to be able to improve their literacy skills. The purpose of this research is to find out learning models that can be applied to improve literacy. This type of research uses qualitative research with library research methods (literature review). The library selection technique is based on the keyword learning model on literacy. The literature comes from research results obtained on the undergraduate google page with a publication limit of the last 15 years. The literature study technique used a synthetic matrix based on reference sources, sample types, methods, interventions, and findings. The conclusion was that the application of a learning model that could improve reading and writing literacy could be done using the learning method.
Gerakan literasi sekolah bertujuan untuk menumbukan sikap budi pekerti dan mengembangkan kemampuan literasi pada diri peserta didik melalui kegiatan membaca di sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses pelaksanaan, faktor pendukung dan penghambat GLS, serta optimalisasi program GLS di tahap pembelajaran melalui model Problem Based Learning kelas III di SD Muhammadiyah 1 Sidoarjo. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif. Lokasi penelitian ini adalah di SD Muhammadiyah 1 Sidoarjo. Subyek penelitian ini adalah guru kelas III, peserta didik kelas III, dan Tim Literasi Sekolah (TLS). Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini yaitu wawancara terstruktur, observasi, angket, dan dokumentasi. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah data primer dan data sekunder. Uji keabsahan data penelitian ini menggunakan triangulasi teknik dan triangulasi sumber. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses pelaksanaan Gerakan Literasi Sekolah tahap pembelajaran sudah terlaksana dengan baik adanya kegiatan menanggapi buku-buku pengayaan pada saat kegiatan literasi, koleksi buku-buku pengayaan yang bervariasi yang disediakan di area sekolah, kegiatan pengapresiasian capaian literasi bagi peserta didik, dan adanya Tim Literasi Sekolah sebagai penanggung jawab pelaksanaan literasi di sekolah.
AbstrakPenelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan media pembelajaran berupa water heater dari barang bekas bertenaga surya berbasis STEAM di kelas V sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini sebagai solusi dari permasalahan pendidik mengenai pembelajaran menggunakan media pada kurikulum 2013 dalam menghadapi tuntutan abad 21. Diharapkan peserta didik memiliki pengetahuan dan keterampilan STEAM secara terpadu melalui pembelajaran di sekolah. STEAM dapat diterapkan mulai di tingkat Sekolah Dasar (SD). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangakan media water heater dari barang bekas bertenaga surya berbasis STEAM di kelas V SDN Bangunmulya kota Tulungagung. Secara khusus, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan pembelajaran menggunakan media water heater dari barang bekas bertenaga surya berbasis STEAM; 2) mendeskripsikan produk akhir media pembelajaran mini water heater dari barang bekas bertenaga surya berbasis STEAM. Penelitian ini melibatkan peserta didik sebagai subjek penelitian. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif. Produk akhir berupa media water heater dari barang bekas bertenaga surya untuk kelas V Sekolah Dasar yang dilengkapi dengan LKPD.Kata Kunci: Water Heater, STEAM
The objectives of this study are (1) to find out and to present the evidence whether the pedagogical model of the genre affects the writing skills of elementary school students, (2) to know and present the evidence whether Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) affects the writing skills of elementary school students, (3) to know and explain evidence whether the genre pedagogical model and Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) jointly influence the writing skills of elementary school students. This research is a Pre-Experimental Design with One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. In this design, there is only one class that will be analyzed and measure the extent of students' writing skills before and after treatment. The results of the study are proven (1) that genre pedagogical model has a positive and significant effect on the writing skills of grade 5 elementary school students, (2) that the Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) has a positive and significant effect on the writing skills of grade 5 elementary school students, (3) that the genre pedagogical model and Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) jointly influence the writing skills of grade 5 elementary school students.
