Problem-solving is one of the fundamental skills in the 21 st century. Students' problem-solving skill is defined as students' abilities to use their knowledge to solve the daily life problems. This study main goal is to develop a test instrument of junior high school students' problemsolving skills on oscillation, wave, and sound concepts. The test items are arranged based on problem-solving skills indicator that proposed by Doctor and Heler (2009), there are problems visualization/description, physics approach, mathematic procedure, and logically conclusion. This study used 4D (define, design, develop, and disseminate) model of research and development method. Fifteen test sets are designed based on five problem-solving skill indicators that grouped to each oscillation, wave, and sound sub concept. The result of instrument development shows all test items are valid through Pearson moment correlation coefficient test. Alpha Cronbach test the instrument shows the instrument reliability is 0.88 with the criteria of reliability is high. Based on expert judgment and data collections, the test instruments were well developed and could be used to measure students' problem-solving skills on oscillation, wave, and sound wave concepts. Keywords: problem solving skills; problem solving skills instrument; oscillation, wave, and sound concept.
Nowadays, technology and information are developing rapidly. It compels an organization or a company strive to excel in its field. In the Industrial Revolution 4.0 era, companies must maintain their assets and technology to face the competition. One asset that should be paid attention to is human resources. Human resource has two important variables, namely Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) and Employee Engagement (EE). This study aims to analyze the relationship between OCB and EE on Employee Performance (EP) in the manufacturing industry in Tangerang. This study is conducted using a quantitative method with 200 respondents. The data is collected by distributing questionnaires to respondents, which is then analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with AMOS 23 software. The result of this study indicates that OCB has a significant effect on EE and EP. This study also finds that employee engagement has a significant effect on employee performance and can mediate the relationship between OCB and EP. From these results, the implication that can be taken is that the manufacturing industry in Tangerang must pay attention to their employees for them to develop OCB and EE, and eventually increase their performance towards the organization.
This study aims to develop a rubric of students' collaboration skills in junior high school on light reflection materials. The collaboration skills are one of the important competencies of the 21st century so that teachers in the field must have their rubric to measure students' collaboration skills. The rubric is based on the adaptation and modification of the collaboration skills section of the International Reading Association (IRA) (2005). The research method used is the method of research and development of 4D (define, design, develop and disseminate) 2D (restricted and design) design model. Aspects that are adapted and modified are contributions, time management, problem solving, working with others and research techniques that are trained on the activity of light reflecting material. Each aspect is given a score of 1 -4 with 1 (less), 2 (sufficient), 3 (good) and 4 (excellent). Through the define and design stage, a collaboration scoring rubric for junior high school students has been developed in light reflection materials based on adaptation and modification of the collaboration skills framework of the International Reading Association (IRA) (2005).
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
